## What is Economee?

Subscriptions charge you quietly. One at a time they look small; together
they turn into a bill nobody agreed to.

Economee gathers them in one place, works out what they cost you in a month
and in a year, and warns you before each charge — so you decide, instead of
finding out afterwards.

WHAT YOU GET FOR FREE
• Unlimited subscriptions, in any currency
• What you spend per month and per year
• Charge calendar — the whole month at a glance: which days, and how much
• Reminders before a charge, at the time you choose
• Trial endings, in time to decide
• The savings counter: cancel something and watch what comes back
• Five screenshot scans to start with
• Seven languages

WITH PREMIUM
• Worth a look — overlaps, duplicates and the one that eats the budget
• Statistics — where the money goes, by tag, service and card
• Payment cards — how much to keep on each one by the start of the month
• Screenshot scanning without a limit
• Bank import — subscriptions find themselves in your Monobank statement

THE SAVINGS COUNTER
Cancelling a subscription is a decision that pays out every month, quietly,
where nobody sees it. Economee makes it visible: cancel something for €15
a month and the counter keeps that €15 in view for a year.

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
Your subscriptions, cards and savings history live on your device and in your
own private iCloud, and they appear on your other devices with the same Apple
ID. The list itself never reaches our server — we could not read it if we
wanted to. One button in Account deletes everything you entered.

Once a day the app sends anonymous statistics, so we can see what to improve:
how many subscriptions you have, what they come to per month, how much the
savings counter holds, your base currency and whether Premium is on. Totals
only, under a random number made when you install the app — no service names,
no notes, no card details, nothing with your name on it. You can turn the
statistics off in Settings.

Screenshot recognition runs on the device using Apple's Vision framework.
No image leaves the phone.

Bank import uses a personal Monobank token, kept in the device Keychain and
sent only to the bank. The token is read-only: the app cannot move money.

HONEST NUMBERS
Where a number is a guess, Economee says so. Where a currency has no
exchange rate, it says that too, instead of quietly leaving the amount out
of the total. Findings suggest what to look at — they never claim to know
the price of a plan we have not seen.

On iPad the list and the details sit side by side, and the widest widget tile shows twelve charges at once.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-10-08

What's new in 1.3

• iPad. The app was built for the phone and ran on a tablet stretched. Now the content sits in a proper column, the subscription form and the Premium screen open almost full-screen instead of a small card, and a subscription opens beside the list rather than on top of it.
• The widest widget tile, which only the iPad offers: twelve charges in two columns.
• Economee now runs on Macs with Apple silicon — the same app, the same subscription.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-02

What's new in 1.2

• Widgets. The subscription charged next — amount and day — on your home screen and lock screen. Six sizes: the medium tile adds the two charges after it, the large one lists six.
• A free week of Premium for anyone who hasn't had one yet. The paywall checks with the App Store first, so it only promises a trial when you are actually entitled to one, and says plainly what it costs afterwards.
• "Have a code?" on the Premium screen opens the App Store's own redemption sheet — for the codes we hand to friends and testers.
• Your second device no longer starts empty. The app used to create a fresh, separate set of data before iCloud had delivered the real one; now it waits, and merges anything that already drifted apart.
• A screenshot of your App Store subscriptions now fills in the charge date too — in all seven languages the app speaks, and even when the screen writes the date without a year.
• Anonymous statistics now also carry a daily total: how many subscriptions, how much a month, how much saved. No service names, nothing that points to you, and the switch in Account still turns all of it off.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-28

What's new in 1.1

• A custom billing period: every 3 weeks, every 10 days, any number of days, months or years.
• A tag can be created right in the subscription form, the same way a card is.
• A copy of your data in a file, and back again. Restoring only adds what is missing — it never replaces what is already there.
• Economee Premium now appears among your subscriptions on its own, with its real price and next charge date.
• Start typing a service name and the app suggests known ones: name, website, logo and colour fill themselves in.
• One screenshot can now hold several subscriptions at once.
• Bank import opens on the list of banks, each with its logo, so you can see whether yours is there before anything else.
• Onboarding follows your region, remembers the logo of every service you pick, and lets you step back. When it ends, Overview asks you to check the price and the charge day of what was added.
• Currencies follow your region too: the hryvnia with the dollar second, the złoty with the euro, the euro on its own in Spain.
• The app's language now has its own row in Settings → Appearance.
• Amounts follow your device's number format: 13,49 as readily as 13.49.
• Reminders show the service and the amount on the lock screen.
• Fixed: settings rows open from anywhere in the row, the arrow included; logos in the onboarding cloud and in your list; the rounding of the discount badge; the padding of the "Add a subscription" button.
