## Most critical reviews (7 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Privacy issues!

*2022-04-17, version 1.9.4*

“No location permission”

You’re a meat thermometer! Why the hell do you need to know my location? And why is it so important for you to know that I can’t even clear the alert suggesting for me to turn it on?

### 1/5 — Really bad

*2022-03-05, version 1.9.2*

I’m sorry to the designer of this app, but it is just not practical to have the app open for two hours while I cook a roast and not be able to lock my phone. Why can’t this app run in the background like any other app and still be able to close my phone?
Would need a lot of changes and improvements before I would recommend to anyone to buy these probes.

### 1/5 — Drives me mad

*2021-05-13, version 1.7.0*

The app stays open and constantly beeps notifications that app window closed. It was so annoying that I have deleted the app

### 1/5 — Almost useless

*2020-07-26, version 1.3*

Only works when app is open and you are next to it.
If the app goes into the back ground not even the simple timer works.
Waste of money

### 2/5 — Crashes every time 🤬

*2023-03-05, version 1.11.2*

This app used to be ok but now EVERY TIME I open it on my iPad (IOS 12.5.7) it just crashes. Please fix this issue 🙏🏼

### 2/5 — Meh

*2021-03-30, version 1.7.0*

Doesn’t really work if you put it in a conventional oven.

The app spams you with notifications as soon you close it and walk away. Then, the notifications build up in the background and when you go back to the app you have to close each individual notification and there can be up to 50 sitting there which is annoying when all you want to do is check how the food is tracking.

The app needs some serious work and the updates are few and far between, and very limited when they do come along.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2020-08-04, version 1.4*

You need to have your iPhone within a couple of metres of the probes when they are in a covered barbecue, but it is no problem as you can link to another iPhone or iPad thru wifi and watch from anywhere. The probes don’t have batteries but have a super capacitor which charge from empty to full in 30 seconds, then last for 4 hours. The app works great and gets updates and improvements. I have done my best cooking as it takes the guesswork of when cooking is finished. Very happy customer.
