I’m not sure if I just have bad luck with this app, but any time I try to use it it says “Sorry, we are unable to process your request right now. Some are a hassle and some did things that made me feel insecure about my account because of negligence by tellers. After going in ECU a few times I changed to them and have never had an issue the didn’t resolve quickly and I have felt totally secure with them for over 10 years. We get a real sense of security knowing whenever our cards are used. ### 5/5 — Tec support No help *2020-01-14, version 1.1* I used the app ECU card control and loved it for about 6 months no problems at all. Then they sent out new Debit Cards and the trouble begin It would not take my new cards at all tried everything. Called tec support they had me delete My info and app. and they deleted me from the system and go back as a new user. And for me to wait 30 minutes or so and download the app again and start fresh.Did not work.call #2 to tec support was no help at all told me to bring it in to a branch and tec support would help me. Took it in yesterday to the Wilcox branch told the whole story to the information woman to sign me in to get help the Service Rep was great she called two different tec support people the last one Sara got in my phone fix it and added one of my cards I was locked out of my debit cards my credit cards Everything for days I even got emails from two different places that my cards had been denied for non payment got that taken care but the other 3 cards my and my husbands cards would not add. Took back today I ask for same Service Rep. She tried everything she knew to do my luck Sara was off today. I watched my service Rep. call tec support she talked to 4 different people all of them trying to put her off on someone else. She apologized over and over. I was told they are going to send visa a email for app people there to look into this they have NEVER seen this before. So I guess I wait for now to hear back they are supposed to call me in a few days. 🤷🏼‍♀️ R. Dean Kingsport ### 3/5 — Works, but inferior to previous app and unnecessary. *2019-07-20, version 1.0* Don’t know why we needed a whole new app (as in forced to get it) to continue getting benefits available on main app. It works fine, no issues, but there is a major downgrade in one aspect. On the old app, my purchase alerts would not only ding on my phone, but would also buzz me on my smart watch. I don’t always have my phone on me or am in a situation where I can leave it on, so having an immediate way to know about expenditures strapped directly to my wrist was extremely convenient. I have turned on every single setting in the app and in my phone in connection to the app to allow alerts, and nothing I do will let me get alerts through my watch. Considering a relative recently had her card number stolen, and the only reason she caught it so quickly was because she just happened to be looking at her phone the moment the thief tried to run the card, I consider the change a MASSIVE downgrade. Please update the app so that I will get buzz alerts on connected devices to my phone. ### 5/5 — Love the new app *2019-06-05, version 1.0* Simple to down load. Started working with in 10 mins. But this app has no way to make a payment, or even find a way to. ### 1/5 — Never works *2023-12-09, version 1.0.10* It was great and super convenient when it worked. Now it always tells me it is unable to process my request. It’s concerning when I can’t find my card and want to freeze it until I find it for sure and the app never works. Very irritating. Wonder if other banks have this app that really functions. Had to call customer service twice in 15 min to get it deleted and reinstalled. It continues to give me errors after I set it up, it tells me unable to process request when I attempt to log in.. It has no value. Just put card control back on the regular app. If it ain’t broke-don’t fix it 😡 ### 1/5 — Worst idea ever *2019-05-13, version 1.0* First, the app will not allow me or my husband to add our debit cards. It says the information does not match. We were able to add our credit cards. Second, all of these features were already available on the ECU app, and it worked perfectly. Now I have to use a different username and password and add all of my cards manually, which is time consuming and inefficient. ECU said they were “streamlining” our banking experience. If this is their idea of streamlining, I’m concerned. Does this mean in the future, I will have separate apps for each of my accounts (checking, savings, etc)? Please add card control back to the original ECU app. One app for all banking services is much more streamlined and efficient. I’ve never had any problems whatsoever. I have read a few of them reviews and people seem to have trouble talking about using two different Apps? Only one App is needed. It’s the regular ECU app. I hope that helps people? You can also turn off push notifications in your settings. If I had to say one thing bad it would be the option of the quick balance check is no longer available, but I am not even sure if that’s Eastman‘s fault. I truly appreciate banks that focus on the security of their customers. ### 5/5 — Lost cryptocurrency recovery *2023-08-09* I was so impatient to carry out necessary research but i really wanted to jump on the crypto trading and investment buzz. Unfortunately for me, I invested 80,000 GBP worth of bitcoin with a fraudulent company. I was happy to watch my account grow to 280,000 GBP within a couple of weeks. But i didn't realize i was dealing with a scam company, until i tried to make an attempt to withdraw. I made a withdrawal request, and noticed my account was suddenly blocked for no apparent reason. I tried contacting customer support, but all to no avail. I needed my money back at all cost, because i could not afford to let it go. So i tried all possible means to make sure i recovered my scammed bitcoin. I did a lot of online search for help, and tried to see if there were other people who had any similar experience. I stumbled upon a cryptocurrency forum were a couple of people mentioned that they had been through the same process but were able to recover their lost cryptocurrency, funds with the help of itech koa. So i file a report and he was able to help me get back all my lost funds within two weeks.
