## What is Ed Astra?

Ed Astra is an EdTech mobile application focused on SAT exam preparation for students.

To test the app:

Log in with the provided test credentials (Google Sign-In is available)
Complete the NLM onboarding quiz to generate your learning profile
Take a Diagnostic exam from the Astro-Test tab to see adaptive question generation
Use the AI Tutor to ask questions about any exam topic
Try the Scan Your Question feature with any printed SAT question

### 4.1.1 — 2026-08-06

Your AI tutor just got a redesign.

• A cleaner, faster chat screen with smoother animations
• Chat titles now appear in the header, so you always know where you are
• Rate tutor answers with like, dislike and share
• Recent chats are easier to find in the side menu
• Chat closes automatically when a test begins

Also fixed: blank screen during onboarding, back navigation from the Learning Dashboard, settings transitions and stats accordion.

New Features
Practice Test History — a new "Score Summary" page shows a user's past full practice tests (total score, Reading & Writing / Math breakdown, per-domain accuracy bars, percentile ranking). Reachable right after finishing a full test (via a new "Grading your test…" loader) and from a new "Practice tests" card on the profile page.
Cold-start warm-up splash — replaces the blank/black screen users hit when the backend cold-starts. A branded splash overlay now stays up (with a native splash-screen handoff on mobile) until the backend and the user's preferences are actually loaded, instead of just a fixed timer.
Improvements
Score breakdown cards (Math / Reading & Writing) on the profile now sit side-by-side and scale their text/spacing fluidly instead of stacking or overflowing on narrow phones.
Home page fixes a stale-UI bug where the "getting started" card could fail to update after an async load completed.
Removed
"Sign in with Email" has been removed from the sign-in screen — Google and Apple only, for now.
Backend (not versioned with this file, but shipping alongside)
Practice test scoring now correctly buckets Reading & Writing questions (they were previously silently miscounted as "Other" for real SAT domain names) and includes a real cohort-based percentile.
Fixed a duplicate-record bug where re-scoring a user could create duplicate history entries instead of updating in place.
