### 3/5 — Too much Ede premium

*2026-07-08*

I just got ur app, exited to learn Yoruba, since I am Nigeria and I understand it, but I keep forgetting it so it would be easy for me to learn all the word fast and quick, but yesterday I was using your app, and then after the first lesson it went good than the second lesson it’s asking me to get premium to continue my lesson or I can wait tomorrow, so I waited the next day thinking nothing about it. And I f ALMOST finished thensecond lesson, BUT It kept asking me to pay to continue, and im so frustrated, because if I have to keep waiting the next day, it will take me longer to learn everything, if I don’t accept once can I still continue my lesson.! Please fix it

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the detailed report, this genuinely helps us. You're right, and we're sorry: our 2.0 update introduced a bug in the daily reset timer, so instead of letting you finish a lesson you'd already started, it was re-triggering the paywall mid lesson even after you waited the full day. That's not how it's supposed to work, and we understand how frustrating that must have been, especially when you're trying to build momentum learning. We're fixing this now so the free daily reset properly lets you complete any lesson you're already in before the next gate appears. Thank you for sticking with Èdè and for taking the time to report this clearly

### 2/5 — Error

*2026-07-03*

The translations aren't all correct

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. I’m a solo developer and genuinely want to make this app the best it can be. If you could let me know which translations you believe are incorrect, I’d be incredibly grateful. I’m fluent in the language, but if I’ve made a mistake, I’ll happily correct it in the next update. If it's easier you can reach out to me at support@orisun.dev. Thank you for helping me improve the app.

### 2.0 — 2026-06-26

Meet Àṣà, your AI Yoruba tutor
Chat with Àṣà in Yoruba and English, get instant pronunciation feedback, and now try realtime voice conversations with Premium.

800+ new words and phrases
We added a full Yoruba phrasebook on top of the original modules. Daily Word of the Day, the dictionary, and lessons now pull from a much deeper library.

Redesigned lesson structure
Every lesson now flows cleanly through Learn → Practice → Recall with full-screen immersion.

Smarter pronunciation scoring
Yoruba's tones are hard to grade through a phone mic, so we made scoring fairer:
• Close but not perfect pronunciations now earn proper credit.
• The "Word Accuracy" bar matches your actual score.

Audio cutoff fixed
Word and phrase audio plays in full now, no more clipped first or last syllables.

Fill-in-the-Blank now varies the missing letter
Previously it always blanked the last character. Now any letter in the word can be missing, so you're actually learning the spelling, not pattern-matching the endings.

Review session refresh
Spaced-repetition review now takes the full screen with a clean, distraction-free layout. We also fixed an issue where starting review with no due words could leave you on a broken screen.

### 1.7.6 — 2026-06-16

- Phrase-Based Learning (Modules 2–13)
Learning isolated words is out. Starting from Module 2, lessons now teach real Yoruba sentences and phrases, the same way fluent speakers actually talk. Each phrase shows you the full sentence in Yoruba with an English translation, and you can tap any word in the phrase to see exactly what it means. Practice and recall now work with full sentences so you build conversational fluency from day one.

- Practice from the Dictionary
The Dictionary tab now has a Practice button. Tap it to run any set of words, whether that's all 271, just your saved words, or a filtered category like "greetings" or "food", through the full three-phase practice session: Learn, Pronunciation, and Recall. Your memory strength scores update just like they do in lessons.

- Smarter Module Order
The learning path has been reorganised specifically for Yoruba. Family & Relationships now comes second (Yoruba social life is built around family), Grammar Fundamentals moves much earlier so you understand sentence structure before you need it, and Numbers moves toward the end where it belongs, Yoruba uses a base-20 subtraction counting system that makes a lot more sense once you have a solid foundation. Every ordering decision was made with Yoruba in mind, not a generic language-learning template.
