I needed to cancel the service and within 2 hours the cancelation was confirmed and the funds credited to my credit card. Very happy with this app and will use it when needed. ### 1/5 — Worst company ever *2022-01-25* I say that with all honesty. I have never had a worst experience with a company in my life. We hired them to remove snow. No one showed up twice. I left them phone messages, emails and notes via the app. No one responded. Then after I did the job myself, someone showed up took a picture and claimed it was done. Then they charged me $135. Never ever use this company. ### 1/5 — Thievery - DO NOT USE *2022-01-21* I tried edenapp as an “cheaper” alternative to Plowz and Mowz. After waiting over 12 hours the plow contractor no showed and I was still charged. Then I was signed up for recurring service without my knowledge. I have attempted to reach customer service but only get a messaging service and am told someone will call you back. Over a week later, NOTHING. Even worse there is no way to close your account or cancel recurring service on the app or website. This company exists to steal your money. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ### 1/5 — Crappy snow plow company *2022-01-21, version 2.6.3* Yes we had a slight blizzard but its now Day 5 and they still have not come out. I can’t even remove my credit card information ### 1/5 — Unable to cancel recurring jobs *2021-12-21* I like the idea of the app but it’s poorly designed and not user friendly. I entered my information in to get what I thought was a quote for services to find out I had scheduled a recurring job (no confirmation pop up or “book now” button appears to relay this to you). A job was completed, which was fine, my bad! But now I want to cancel the recurring job. There is no way to do this on the app itself. I called customer service on a Sunday and was told I would have someone contact me…no response. On Monday I emailed them and did get a response later that day, but still my job has not been cancelled. I’m worried I will get charged again while I am waiting for this issue to be resolved. Eden - please add a cancellation/modify/delete button to your app! ### 1/5 — Can’t stop recurring jobs through the app *2021-11-15* I was relatively happy with the service aside from occasional issues with individual contractors. However, there is no way to cancel recurring services through the app - you must send an email - and Emails may not be acted upon in a timely fashion. If you must use this service, schedule individual jobs rather than recurring jobs. ### 1/5 — Don’t bother *2021-07-20* Was not happy with the work. Nowhere to leave feedback or get help. Not worth it. ### 1/5 — Overcharges and under delivers (Toronto) *2021-06-29* Charged me more than 50$ that it said it would for the cut. Never gave exact time of contractor then when they did it wasn’t that time at all ‘evening’ was 8:30am. Like that wasn’t bad enough it’s impossible to cancel and there are no images of the cut that they promise on the site and any non branded company charged 35$ all around the GTA. Waste of time. ### 1/5 — Incredible amount of red flags *2021-06-25* Downloaded the app to give it a try. Simple enough to put the request in. It was taking a while to get the contractor, which I think its reasonable to take a few days anyways. The main issue is that I found another person to do the grass cut. The app is literally unusable. You cannot cancel orders that havent even been accepted without emailing or calling. Come on, thats a basic function in this world. You cannot delete your account, they make it incredibly hard to navigate anything really. All bad signs and I noped out of there. You guys can read all the bad reviews here, I thought I would give them a chance regardless. Don’t its sloppy and incompetent at every point. ### 1/5 — Eden? Maybe after the fall *2021-02-24* Just say no! I signed up against my better judgment after my area was hit with significant snow. I was unable to do the snow removal myself and was having difficulty finding anyone to do the work. I was uncomfortable having to enter my credit card during the sign-up process since I was unfamiliar with this company. Ultimately, I couldn’t get agreement from them on the scope of work. In my mind, you can’t have a business agreement unless both parties agree on the scope of work and the cost. I also found it odd that I couldn’t get a response to the job I posted through the app, yet someone from Eden replied VERY quickly to a Yelp request I sent to a *different* vendor. I received many texts from “Nate” at Eden but none addressed my attempts to confirm the scope of the work. I even called the phone number that was texting me, only to be routed back to Eden‘s customer service department, which is really just an answering service. I also had difficulty getting Eden to close my account. I’m still concerned that they’ve retained my credit card info. Stay away from Eden App! **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Rest assured we have closed your account. We apologize that we weren't able to service your property. We hope that you will give us another shot next season! ### 1/5 — Didn’t get it right multiple times *2021-02-20* Pretty disappointing - we have a very small area that they consistently got wrong (ie shovelled one area but didn’t get the others). Said they would correct it but then never came. They also would not offer a refund. Would not recommend. App is also not very user friendly. ### 1/5 — Horrific Customer Service *2021-02-17, version 2.6.0* This is not about the contractors (no complaints). This is about the horrific customer service with Eden. It’s always the same person when you reach out - incredibly ignorant, unprofessional and disrespectful. It’s 2021, people. Do better. ### 1/5 — Lied to *2021-02-02, version 2.6.0* I ordered snow removal for my parents who are elderly and live in a different state. The work was not completed, leaving snow on their stairs and walkway, just the perfect amount to melt and refreeze and cause hazardous conditions for the elderly. And when I disputed it, I was told over and over that it was complete when the photo that THEY SENT clearly showed it was not. Never, ever again. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the poor service standards and hope to have the chance to do a more thorough job for the next visit. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — The worst customer service *2023-08-28* I had been a happy, long time customer. However, this season, customer service has dropped to zero. My lawn provider decided it was not worth his while to continue to cut my lawn—despite have accepted the contract to do it. He told Eden but neither he nor anyone at Eden had the baseline professionalism or courtesy to contact me. After no service for a month or so, it took me another month to figure out the situation. Customer service reps did not follow up on promises made. Eden was ultimately unable to provide the service I contracted for in a reliable or timely manner. This is among the very worst, irresponsible customer service I have ever experienced. ### 1/5 — Stop charging me *2023-03-03* How do I remove my CC? ### 1/5 — Massively increase the snow removal fees after you book!!! *2023-01-26* When you book your service they ask fir details and then estimate a really reasonable charges encourage you to book with them. Then when you fill out your credit card details the double the charges without any reason!! The shock is the contractor use shovels and takes hours to finish one drive way for over $85!!!! ### 1/5 — No way to cancel. *2022-12-26* I have called and mailbox is full. There is no way to remove my account and they do not respond to emails. They are do continuing to charge me for a home I no longer own and commuting fraud by charging me and not allowing me to cancel. I will be taking legal action soon. Unfortunately you can’t use this app ### 1/5 — Beware- No way to cancel service. *2022-12-23* This app is garbage. There is no way to cancel recurring snow removal service. The contractors rarely show up in a timely fashion. I can’t delete my credit card info, so I continue to be charged for a service I no longer want. I’ll be contacting my cc company to dispute charges and remove the recurring service from my payments. ### 1/5 — Worst company ever AVOID *2022-12-17* They randomly and massively increased my Snow Removal charges even though we had a contract for the season and I can’t delete my credit card off their system so they keep trying to charge me even though I’m no longer a client. They actually came by today and pretended to do stuff mobile and by the way there’s no snow in Toronto today and did I mention I’m not even a client and have not signed up with them in any way shape or form… And took a picture of my dry driveway and proceeded to try to bill me more than once. Last season they completely left me stranded and did not come to clear the driveway and would not even answer any messages I sent them they are impossible to get in touch with they have terrible customer service but most of all a giant scam because they don’t do what they promiseAnd you can’t delete the personal information from their app -I was going to let it go it’s just a very bad experience and a little bit of stolen money but for them to come back this season when I’m not even a client and try and bill me even worse when it’s not even snowing… Now I’m reporting to them to the Better Business Bureau and everyone else I can possibly call please stay away this company should not be in business ### 1/5 — Terrible service. Difficult to cancel service and communicate *2022-06-29* Firstly the contractors that they sent were stealing from my house. Secondly when I caught them and told them I was reporting them to the police they offered me to fight. Thirdly the App makes it extremely difficult to stop or cancel service. It is virtually impossible through the app and when you try to call or send a email they don’t respond. ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2022-05-13* I have no idea how well the landscapers work because there have been 2 no shows and a total of 7 rescheduled appointments, the last of which I’m not holding my breath on. There is no one responding to my inquiries other than to tell me of my rescheduled appointments. The problem began with our first appointment scheduled on May 6 and the contractor showed up the day before while we were out. They simply didn’t bother to show up for the scheduled date and made no effort to contact us. After my complaints, each day from then on was that the appointment was rescheduled for the next day, with my elderly mother sitting at home with her fingers crossed that maybe today someone would be respectful enough to let her know if she rated as a customer. Perhaps this was because it was a one time job, but it’s a large job and with the potential for on going work. Anyway, I highly recommend you do your own leg work and seek out companies directly because the weeds have overrun the garden leaving my 77 year old mother to get on her knees herself. Don’t waste your time. ### 1/5 — Be better *2022-03-21* This company is sketchy at best. Enter your credit card number at your own peril. Company is unresponsive and does not let you modify your frequency of jobs, cancel jobs or stop using the app once you start. When you call customer service, they tell you someone will call back, and no one will. No way to cancel the account.
