## What is Edge Catalyst?

Edge Catalyst is a puzzle game about clearing a grid with elemental beams.

Water beats fire, fire beats air, air beats earth, earth beats water.
Fire a beam with the element that beats a block and the line clears.
Each board hands you a fixed set of beams, so the puzzle is working out the order.

• 237 verified boards
• Endless mode, newly generated every run and rising in difficulty
• Daily challenge — the same board for everyone in the world, every day
• Stacked blocks: clear the top layer to reveal what waits beneath
• Beams run edge to edge along rows, columns and diagonals
• Three stars for solving in the fewest shots
• Element symbols for colorblind players
• No timer, no lives
• Plays offline, no account required

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.5 — 2026-09-29

The stages after the campaign have been rebuilt. They pick up at the campaign's final difficulty, and boards grow from 6 by 6 up to 9 by 9.
Lines now run at a wider range of angles.
After you clear every stage, Endless mode continues at the same difficulty.
The gargoyle's eyes and pedestal runes glow in the element's color, and each shot now has recoil and a puff of dust.
Sparks and spray scatter more naturally, and the air beam looks more like wind.
The company logo on the launch screen is new.
Some in-game text has been reworded.
Because the stages were rebuilt, star records for the old stages are reset. Campaign records and progress are kept.

### 1.1.4 — 2026-09-26

• A new look for Earth — rocks are replaced by a sunlit ochre mound of soil that fills the cell more fully, with scattered crumbs and pebbles for an earthy feel.
• Clearer aim cancel — drag back to where you started, or well off the board, to cancel. The guide turns grey before you let go, and dragging over the element dial now cancels reliably.

### 1.1.3 — 2026-09-25

• Smoother line drawing — the line you meant is picked even with a shaky finger, and overshooting past the end of a row no longer cancels the shot. To cancel, pull sideways off the board.
• Clearer aim guide — easier to see over bright cells, with an arrowhead showing where the beam goes.

### 1.1.2 — 2026-09-25

• Much smaller download — the app is now under 100 MB (down from about 300 MB), so updates install faster.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-20

• Better tablet layout — the board now scales up on iPad and other tall screens.
• Tightened title and number alignment across the UI.
