## What is EdgeEver?

EdgeEver is an open-source, self-hosted notes workspace for people who want a fast, familiar writing experience without giving up control of their data.

Connect the app to an EdgeEver instance that you or your organization operates, then work with notebooks, notes, tags, attachments, search, and Trash from your iPhone.

### 1.83.0 — 2026-09-22

Choose a built-in font for note text: LXGW WenKai, LXGW WenKai Screen, Source Han Serif, Source Han Sans, or a Latin serif. A selected built-in font also appears on that note's public share page after the instance is upgraded. System fonts and custom font names stay off the share page.
Add a beta Database note. Web and desktop can edit records by field, and can filter, sort, and export CSV. Phones, iOS, and public shares stay read-only so the record model is not overwritten. Create-note menu items line up, and the table icon is a grid.
On macOS, the share extension can import a WeChat merged-forward chat into one note, including the transcript, images, and videos.
Images and remote videos stay inside fold blocks. Remote videos still open in the existing player.
Deleting a notebook also removes empty notebooks nested inside it. The notebook stays when any note remains.
Plugin pages no longer list capability declarations.
Desktop copy and paste keep working with the updated clipboard API.

Open the AI assistant from a selection or the whole note, and remember the last action you used.
Replace the Xiaohongshu and X/Twitter factory prompts with Extract tasks and Continue writing. Opening the assistant on a whole note now starts on a custom instruction. After upgrade, those two factory presets—including edited copies—are removed; prompts you created yourself are kept.
