## What is EdgeNums?

EdgeNums is a tricky logic puzzle for quick breaks – pure reasoning, no guessing.

Place the numbers so that every row and every column contains each number exactly once, plus one empty cell. The numbers along the edge tell you the first number visible from that side. From these clues, the one and only valid solution unfolds step by step.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-07-28

This version adds the new 7×7 and 8×8 puzzle sizes with pre-filled cells. All puzzles now come from carefully vetted collections and load instantly. Also new is "How it works": the assistant solves a beginner puzzle step by step. Moves can now be undone and redone. On top of that, hints have been improved with full explanations, along with minor fixes.

### 1.2 — 2026-07-18

Clearer hints: explanations now name the exact row or column an edge number refers to and list every reason a number is blocked, not just the first one. Also fixed a display glitch in the hint balloon when no next step is available.

### 1.1 — 2026-07-14

EdgeNums now speaks six languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. The app follows your device language automatically. Plus small refinements and fixes. Have fun solving!
