Love it. There is one thing to add, an edit button on the top left and a settings gear button on the bottom right. Just a suggestion :P. Got me out of a hole when I noticed a bug in a website and only had my iPad. Connected to FTP site and downloads files no problem. When I press a special character such as " it highlights the next letter in the document and starts overwriting - very annoying, option to turn that off? Would be cool if extra characters could be optionally on two lines rather than side scroll not sure if that's possible. Option to set an ftp account per project would be good instead of just one in settings. Great stuff though. ### 4/5 — No Ad Purchase? *2012-07-30, version 1.0* This is great. It takes up practically no storage space on my iPad, and gives me free access to my FTP site. I previously used a lite version of another app, but it wouldn't open php files (one of the benefits of the full version) so advanced programming wasn't practical. (I could edit it as a .html file and rename as a .php, but that is far from ideal) The only thing I ask is for an in-app purchase to remove ads. Everything else is great! ### 5/5 — Great editor *2012-06-17, version 1.0* If you like to edit code like JavaScript and do some HTML then this app is great for you. You can edit the code and view it in less than a second. The FTP is a little basic but it does the job and I have not had any issues with it. Obvious controls missing! *2018-11-11, version 2.2.0* So I installed this because I was looking for a plain text editor. I created a file and started typing. There is no "save" button in the UI that I could tell. I started to traverse down the directory tree but I couldn't find a way traverse back up. So I really don't know if my text file was saved or not and I'm not sure if I can find it and edit it again. There must be a way to do this (I assume) but I could not find anything. How could there be so many good reviews for this app when some obvious controls appear to be missing? Or did I miss the point of this app altogether? ### 1/5 — Autocorrect in a code editor? *2018-05-05, version 2.1.0* This is basically useless. It insists on auto capitalizing and correcting text you input into it, which makes writing code on it impossible. ### 1/5 — Useful little app! - not anymore! *2013-03-22, version 1.0.1* New update renders this app useless! Why remove the ftp function!? Please put it back! Old review follows Cheap and cheerful. You'll have to forgive the English instructions on how to configure FTP (just go to the main iPad settings and have a play). I found on their support site that others have been having the same problem, and they say it's because it can't handle long files. The files I've been trying to edit are not that long, really. It’s an amazing alternative to Caret Editor, which I use for my coding class. I do have a question though. One assignment I have requires inserting a photo link. I have it saved in my files but I’m not exactly sure how to get a photo into the code. Is it possible someone could give me tips or any instruction?
