As someone who grew up with mainly secular content, listening to content from here is so refreshing and hopeful. I feel I can actually trust a media source for once. The Christian Post Daily Podcast, for example. Not only do I feel I can trust it, but it gives me quick updates on top news concerning Christians world wide, which is helpful in a busy schedule. Just showed a white screen after the initial blue title screen for a long time. ### 2/5 — App hasn’t updated in over a month *2026-03-03, version 1.1.20* My subscriptions stopped updating daily over a month ago. ### 2/5 — Poor Playback options *2022-05-05, version 1.1.17b* I appreciate the Christian community offered here, I even find the emails which have regularly popped up in my inbox intriguing and non too frequent or invasive but I don’t use the app for one very critical reason. It offers no options to increase the playback speed. This day in age being able to scan an audiofile is popular given the tremendous amount of non essential verbiage. However for people with certain learning disabilities and fast brains/listeners like me it is essential. I get bored listening to Conversation at normal speed, my mind wanders and I find difficult to focus. When I can listen at one and a half to 2 1/2 patient even three times speed with slow talkers I can focus and learn more than I could at normal speed. This app offers no function which allows me to do that and I’m pretty close to deleting it because most of the podcast I’ve listened to have slow speakers and I find it tedious and therefore uninformative and uninterested which is a shame because there’s some good contact here unfortunately people like me find it more cumbersome i’m looking for diamonds in the rough with a pic and shovel sans sifter. It’s just not worth my time. ### 2/5 — An app designed for 5 years ago *2022-03-15, version 1.1.17b* The content is fantastic and I really want to like this app. But this app works terribly on any iPhone since the iPhone X. The top panel hides behind the notch or clashes with the clock or battery indicator at the top. This makes clicking search or recommended podcasts difficult. This is the same at the bottom to a lesser extent. This app has so much potential. But it needs updating so that it is user friendly on Apple handsets since 2017. ### 3/5 — Podcasts not in chronological order *2025-10-21, version 1.1.20* I love that Edifi is a place I can find Christian podcasts, but I find it difficult to use because the podcasts aren’t arranged in chronological order. When I want to listen to a series of podcasts by the Prophecy Pros, I have to scroll through Edifi to try to find them, whereas other apps organize them chronologically and I can play one right after another without any searching. I also prefer the option to adjust the playback speed. If these two issues were to be addressed, I would use Edifi exclusively.
