I was able to scan my connection once, then all it has done since is crash on log in. Worked okay on our old WiFi network. However trying to set it up on the new one has been a fitting end to one of the worst years of my life. The app is outdated and terrible to use. I spend half the time wanting to throw my phone across the room. When I try log in on my iPhone 6 it crashes every time I enter the default password ... Please fix this ### 5/5 — Great!!! (Crash fix tip!) *2016-01-02* Ok so the product has been working PERFECT! I decided to download the app, which I don't really plan on using much. Just to test out its functions. Everything seems great. At first it did crash when I would try to input the password. So I decided to re-download the app and restart my phone before starting the app back up again. After that I tried again and the app worked PERFECT! ### 5/5 — DON'T BELIEVE THE HATERS! *2015-12-02, version 1.03* Every single one of these one-star reviews is FAKE! The Edimax N300 Wi-Fi Extender is an awesome, inexpensive, easy to set up product. It only cost $25 from Amazon and works flawlessly. As does the EdiRange app, which by the way is very useful and FREE! Props out to both the app Devs AND the product manufacturers. I initially bought two N300s, but I find them SO useful that I'll probably buy more. Thank you! ### 4/5 — App Works When Connected to the Extender! *2014-12-28* This app works well. However it would only work when device (such as an iPad) is connected to the Edimax Wi-Fi extender. Otherwise it would drop instantly after typing in the default password and hitting login. Funny it does tell you this in the "Help" section in the App but no one would be able to see it if they were not connected properly in the first place. There should have been a message prompting the connection to the Extender. ### 3/5 — Almost a year without 1 review? *2015-01-20* I want to buy BUT cannot until they make it clear whether or not you have to have access to a router.... I live near a free public hotspot and can websurf as is but need fewer disconnects and better speed... cannot lay hands on a router so who knows if it helps my iPad ??? 🙈🙉🙊 ### 2/5 — Edimax wifi extender *2016-10-14, version 1.05* So far I've had the unit plugged into the wall a week seems to be working okay. The weak link in the unit is the app which crashes every time I open it so far very poor indeed. ### 2/5 — New Version 1.05 display issue *2016-08-19* Version was supposed to fix crashes, but it really did was corrupt the Wi-Fi Environment display screen.
