Using with a IC-3015Wn camera. 90% of the time the app displays a spinning icon then times out. Both, on local network and via WAN. Needs an update to function better. Good start, now fix it! And not support audio! ### 1/5 — Fail *2013-01-23* The remote viewer does not seem to work, I have no trouble on my LAN but can't make the cloud work just looks like it is loading but never hooks up, maybe needs older version of Java ? ### 2/5 — Ediview App does not utilises the cloud ID *2012-09-22, version 1.02.09* Many ISP now a days offer dynamic IP to their users on default, also majority users have router at home. edimax knows therefore bundles CLOUD ID system into their products, which is great. However the app, does not work the same way as the java app they built for PC/browsers. On the app, although it allow users to input CLOUD ID, the app then request camera IP from host/cloud, then uses the IP to connect. Basically, if anyone is behind a router he or she cannot use cloud ID and connect through IP. Whoever uses Router AND has dynamic IP, do not bother with this poorly implemented app and company. I would update review if the app gets fixed. Overall experience 2stars. ### 1/5 — Used to work :( *2012-07-27* Installed camera in baby's room to give visual to check when the baby monitor was making noise. It's worked fairly well until I updated the app. Now all I get is time out and errors. Sort of defeats the purpose of having the camera if we cannot use it for our intended purpose. ### 2/5 — Buggy App!!! Needs fixes *2012-06-19* The app initially worked great but after some time just stopped working properly. Specially when you switch from potrait to landscape mode ( full screen ) it just keeps spinning and times out. EDI MAX. Please fix the issue. There are no settings to change resolution and this app does not support audio either. Same on iphone and iphone. There's no crazy delay in the software where a 5 second gap in reality vs camera happens. Good app. If you have edimax get it! I'm running dd-wrt on all of my routers with port forwarding and static ip setup. It's not super responsive to gestures, but it does work. A really simple feature: cannot believe no one thought about it. This may be due to my home router and edimax cameras though. Since the latest update it seems to time out even quicker now which is a backward step in my opinion.
