After a very emotional and rocky start, he is now in love with school and especially his teacher. The school info app provides important information as well as immediate updates. In fact, I just received a notification that one of the buses from school was running 20-25 minutes late. It is not the bus that my son rides, however I was able to contact another parent with a child on that bus to let them know. This app not only keeps me up to date with activities, but it also allows me to view future dates so I can schedule appointments around school functions. My only complaint: I wish the items listed had more detail. For example, if the calendar says Wednesday is an early release day, I would like the dismissal time posted instead of having to wait for the teacher to send an e-mail. I am not sure if space is limited on each activity or not, but detail is imperative to me. How is it the app's fault if a local school does not choose to enter their information on the app? My grandson attends a middle school that makes every effort to communicate to parents, guardians and the community. EVERYTHING one needs to know can be found in one place using this app. The school has links to calendars, email addresses, important documents for parents ( dress codes, pick -up & drop-off procedures, etc), Facebook page for the school, the school's web page, the school's twitter account, and a tool for the student to record information on class assignments, give the assignment a priority, etc. If a parent does not know what is going on at this middle school, it is the parent's fault. The interface is extremely easy to use and the tech support is nearly instantaneous with their responses. Parents love the app because you can do push notifications to keep them up to date on important events. The calendar feature of your app is seamless. Simply put in the dates and the locations of your events and the creators of the app provides directions to your users via mapquest. Quite simply, schoolinfoapp is something that went from a luxury to a necessity.
