It’s almost like they just don’t want to pick you up at all. I gave up trying to wait because they’d either come late or not at all. ### 1/5 — Where are the destination zones? *2025-05-27, version 4.20.3* This is a useless app because the map only shows one pickup zone (close to my neighbourhood) but shows no destination zones. The C of E website lists several points of service but they are not visible on this app. How am I supposed to know if on demand service is useful for me? Also, On Demand is supposedly integrated into the main ets app but no options appeared for any of my trip searches. ### 2/5 — Unreliable *2025-03-26* I live in Blackburn neighbourhood and to order this bus is very often impossible as it says “unfortunately the service is unavailable. Have a plan B how to get to work or home. ### 1/5 — Worst Rideshare Service Ever *2025-03-12, version 4.17.4* these drivers from India or Pakistan don’t know how to do their jobs, one time I booked a ride at 7:20 AM to go to work and my ride showed up at 8:20, absolutely waste of my time and creation of this service. I would rate this service zero stars if I had a choice ### 1/5 — Horrible experience *2025-02-22, version 4.17.4* This app is beyond dysfunctional. I would often book a ride 30 mins in advanced but it would arrive in an hour and sometimes would cancel my ride all together. The estimated time is almost always inaccurate, so I’m usually late. Yes it is more convenient than walking the 1 hour distance to the transit bus stop, but it just adds an unnecessary stress to my day. Such is an inconvenience not only for me but for everyone who books. Drivers even drop me off in the middle of the streets instead of the bus stop to save time. ### 1/5 — Don’t use it *2025-02-10* Genuinely useless. All the drivers are a bunch of low life imbeciles. There’s no point in the app you might as well use the weather app to track your bus, would honestly be more helpful. ### 1/5 — Great idea, terrible execution *2025-02-06* This is one of the best examples I have come across of the total waste of money caused by Edmontons inability to get things working. I can almost never get to where I want to go within an hour of needing to be there. On paper it’s a great service. I was excited to move to a neighbourhood served by on demand traffic, and since the shuttles are literally here all the time I thought it would be easy to get a ride. I was wrong. 19 times out of 20 the app says it’s busy and cannot find a ride. When it finally does (I just keep trying until it goes through - often takes tens of times) I’m always the only person on the bus. So cannot be all that busy, yes? Seems it’s only able to book one person at a time on the busses. Which is not only a mind boggling waste of money and resources but also makes mockery of the entire environmental aspect of public transit. It would work much better for me to just replace it with a scheduled shuttle service that runs at specific times. And it seems like that would be a lot cheaper for the city as well! ### 1/5 — Absolutely Not *2025-01-08* No idea what bots plagued the app to give it 5 stars but this system is absolutely terrible and everybody who takes it knows that ### 1/5 — useless *2025-01-08, version 4.17.4* Ive been taking the on demand since it started running and now they started taking out routes that it was initially built for, it is no longer convenient. and no longer useful.. i suggest taking the ETS if possible, no matter how far it is from you, you have a better chance with that than with the on demand. you’re better off walking in all honesty. ### 1/5 — Extremely unreliable *2024-12-22, version 4.17.4* We booked an on demand and the driver was just standing not moving after we called the customer service representative,they said that it might have some glitch. After some time we saw the bus driver go right past our stop. There’s maybe 5 active zones in Edmonton that doesn’t help anyone. ### 1/5 — Never on time *2026-05-27* On demand is never on time, booked 15 minutes ago and it’s passed 30 minutes know waiting at the meadows transit centre, it just keeps circling the transit centre ### 1/5 — -10\10 *2026-02-24* This service doesn’t respect its riders. Its crazy how you can book a bus at least 1 hour in advance but still be late, and most of the time its not even traffic it’s because the buses try and squeeze everyone in one ride and don’t realize that theres people on the bus that were told the arrival was going to be at 7:10, will still find themselves on the bus at 7:35 and not even be close to their destination. And you know what’s funny? That’s me right now. Im on the bus currently writing this review. This isnt a one time thing it’s an everyday occurrence. ### 1/5 — tired of this dysfunctional incompetent system *2026-02-05* this service sucks. i can never know when i'm gonna get where i need to be because routing is all over the place, and times are completely inconsistent. there is no structure to it. sometimes the bus will drop off and pick up people on busy routes where regular busses run every 5-10 minutes, while they rarely show up in neighborhoods that actually require their service because there is no bus route. it's completely ridiculous and you're probably better off spending money on an uber. ### 1/5 — Not working *2026-01-28* Me and my coworker changed our phones and the app stopped working in the new phone. Super disrespectful missed my first class ### 1/5 — USELESS *2025-10-20* I have been trying to book a bus for OVER AN HOUR and the app just will not work. This is a frequent problem, normally where I can find a bus but as soon as I go to book it it becomes UNAVAILABLE. You can’t book an On Demand transit after 5pm. It’s as if all the drivers stop working when everyone is done work coming from downtown. I always book a ride when I’m on the bus coming from downtown to the Lewis Estate transit centre and they never have anything available after 5:30PM. I get to the transit centre at 6pm but they never have anything available. They need to update their services with more drivers after 5pm. Also, apparently they can just put you on a different ride just because they are lazy and don’t want to pick you up?! What is that. Update your app and service. It’s terrible. The buses should be picking up people along the existing route NOT backtracking.
