Spinning thing spins but I don’t care about “what’s hot right now”. Number one function is Search and see what’s overdue. ### 3/5 — Kinda okay *2024-05-11* The app would be much better if there were notifications. It’s also difficult to find new books. Unless you know specifically a book you want, it’s hard to find similar or categorized books. ### 4/5 — Things could be added *2023-08-14* It would be great if notifications could be added for books ready for pickup or due dates coming up as well as a dark mode added. Like it’s so obvious! Make a digital library card that we can add to the Apple Wallet app. While you’re at it, add darkmode already. The bright white screens hurt my eyes and drain my iPhone battery too quickly. Please hurry up and add these basic features as soon as possible! Takes you too the website instead where you have to login. Then when you go back to the app, you have too login again there too. However, the accessibility of the On Order on the previous versions should’ve been retained. It was perfect before. Now I have to go to the website first and then filter from there. Not user-friendly at all! ### 3/5 — New app is much better *2020-01-21, version 2.1* This new app is much better, but it is still lacking the ability to add my library card to Apple Wallet. That one simple feature would add two more stars to my review. The app requires you to turn your phone sideways to get your library card barcode, but then by the time you’ve gone to scan the barcode, your screen has likely rotated back to the upright position. Not ideal at all. ### 3/5 — Love EPL but the new update isn’t as good *2020-01-19, version 2.1* There’s no more place to find new or on order from the app. This is super disappointing. Please fix this!!! ### 3/5 — Map locations missing *2020-01-16, version 2.1* The new look and feel of the app are great except the map view of the library locations across Edmonton is gone. Currently there is only a list; which can be sorted by distance or address). A map view gives a clear, immediate view of where each location is at once; without having to search up each address. Great for anyone that doesn’t know the city streets or neighborhoods very well. Noticed a bug where the due soon, overdue, ready etc. On home screen only show dashes instead of numbers.
