### 1/5 — free me

*2026-08-18, version 6.1.0*

Edpuzzle is one of the most frustrating school apps because it takes something that should be simple and makes it unnecessarily complicated. The main purpose of the app is to let teachers give students videos with questions throughout them. While that might sound helpful, it can make watching a normal educational video feel like another long assignment. Instead of just paying attention to the information, students have to constantly think about the next question and worry about completing every part correctly.

One of the biggest problems with Edpuzzle is how often the videos get interrupted. Just when you start understanding what the person in the video is saying, a question can suddenly appear and stop everything. Sometimes the interruption happens right when someone is explaining something important. This makes it harder to stay focused because you have to switch your attention from listening to the video to figuring out what answer the teacher wants.

The constant questions can also make students focus more on finishing the assignment than actually learning. While watching a video, you might find yourself wondering when the next question is going to appear instead of paying attention to the lesson. This can be especially annoying when the video is actually interesting. Instead of being able to follow the explanation from beginning to end, you have to keep stopping and starting.

Another problem is that Edpuzzle can make short videos feel much longer than they actually are. A video that is only ten minutes long can take significantly longer when there are multiple questions stopping you throughout it. If you have several videos assigned, all those extra interruptions can add up quickly. Students already have homework from other classes, so having one short video turn into a much longer assignment can be frustrating.

Edpuzzle assignments can also become extremely repetitive. The process is usually the same: watch the video, get stopped by a question, answer it, continue watching, and repeat. Doing this over and over can become boring, especially if there are multiple videos about topics that students are not interested in. After a while, it can feel like the main goal is just to finish the assignment instead of actually understanding the subject.

Another issue is that Edpuzzle can sometimes make students worry more about their answers than the lesson itself. When you know a question is coming, you might spend the entire video trying to remember every little detail because you are worried it will be part of the next question. This can make learning feel stressful instead of natural. Students should be able to focus on understanding the main ideas without constantly worrying about being tested.

Edpuzzle is not necessarily a completely terrible idea. Teachers do need ways to make sure students are paying attention and understanding their lessons. The problem is the way the app handles it. There are other ways to check whether students learned something without interrupting a video every few minutes. For example, students could watch the entire video first and then answer questions afterward.

The app could also give students more freedom while watching. Being able to pause, rewind, and watch the video normally would make the experience much less frustrating. Teachers could still receive information about whether students completed the assignment without making the entire video feel like a test. Small changes like these could make Edpuzzle much more enjoyable.

Overall, Edpuzzle has a decent idea behind it, but the way it is designed can make schoolwork more frustrating than it needs to be. The constant interruptions, repetitive questions, longer assignments, and pressure to remember every detail can take away from the actual learning experience. Edpuzzle could be a much better app if it focused more on helping students understand the lesson and less on constantly stopping them to prove they are watching. For now, it is an app that many students would probably be happy to use less often.

### 1/5 — Bru this skibidi doodoo

*2026-07-19, version 5.1.0*

I download this app and then as soon as I started the video I was time teleported to the creation of earth and as the video played earth aged in real time and the dinosaurs were really cool and by the time the video ended earth was already held captive by chat gpt and then the world was the same again and I blew up my phone with a bazooka.

### 1/5 — This app sucks

*2026-05-18, version 5.1.0*

If i could give this app 0 stars i would. I saw that a bunch of reviews said it was glitchy or laggy, but thought “it can’t be that bad right”. I downloaded this to do an assignment for school but this app literally wont let me sign in. When i click to sign in there is no keyboard to type. Ive tried 5 times. Then if i try to click the refresh button to refresh it just freezes. At this point i give up and will be deleting this app after i finish this review. Why do schools even use edpuzzle when everyone literally hate it?

### 1/5 — Unnecessary app

*2026-05-16, version 5.1.0*

I don’t like how we aren’t allowed to watch ed puzzles from the app. What’s the point of having an app for it then.

### 1/5 — Why

*2026-04-25, version 5.1.0*

What’s the point of it if it’s just gonna take me to the website when I select a lesson? I got the app so I didn’t have to use the website but it’s forcing me into it.

### 1/5 — no point in downloading

*2026-04-19, version 5.1.0*

They send you to Google to complete the videos anyway, there’s no point in using this app, just go directly to Google and login

### 1/5 — Useless App

*2026-04-14, version 5.1.0*

I personally love the program so I downloaded the app, expecting for an update. It only turned out pointless. Why create a whole app when it just directs you back to the website??
