Edvanz is an all-in-one app for private teachers and tutoring centers to run their classes and keep students, assistants, and parents connected. Built for the way real tutoring works, Edvanz replaces paper registers, scattered spreadsheets, and message groups with one simple, bilingual (English & Arabic) app. FOR TEACHERS • Attendance in seconds — mark students present with a QR scan or a tap, session by session. • Tuition tracking — record cash payments, see who has paid and who is due, and keep a clear running balance per student. • Exams & homework — create and share assessments and assignments and follow up on results. • Video lessons — share lesson videos and see how far each student has watched. • Assistants — delegate day-to-day work to assistants with their own access. • Students & groups — organize your students, view their profiles, and track progress. Edvanz records tuition that students pay in cash to their teacher; it is not a card-payment or billing app. ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 4.1.0 — 2026-09-11 Attendance • Scanning records attendance for the class day you have open. Opening an earlier class day and scanning used to save the mark on the most recent class instead. • The screen now names which class and which day you are marking, so a past day is never a surprise. • Marks taken offline no longer go missing. Anything that did not reach the server appears under "Unsent records" instead of being counted as saved. Exam grades • Students recorded absent stay on the grade list, with the reason and a way to fix it. They used to disappear, so searching for the student found nothing. • Grades for a whole class now save together. One student's row can no longer cancel everyone else's. • Save stays at the bottom of the screen, within reach while you type. • Search and the All / Graded / Not graded filters are pinned at the top. • The keyboard's Next key jumps to the next student you can grade. • Emptying a grade box removes that grade, after asking you first. • Exam dates and times appear exactly as you set them. Videos • New "Watched by class": how many students in each class have opened a video, and which class is behind. • Filter the watched and not-watched lists by class. • Video length and watch progress are now accurate, so completion counts are right. • The publish badge tells the truth, and editing a video no longer clears a scheduled publish date. Payments • A price change now reaches the current month and earlier unpaid months. • The joining (prorated) month no longer freezes. • Assistants see the same collections ledger you do, limited to their own collections. • A student's departure explains how the final figure was reached. Also: the assigned class now appears on the student's home screen, filters for linked students, clearer limits on student app accounts, faster first paint on list screens, and many smaller fixes. ### 4.0.0 — 2026-09-04 NEW — Parent Follow-Up portal • Parents can now follow their child from a simple web page — attendance, payments and grades — nothing to install. Read-only by design. • You stay in control: turn it on in Settings, choose exactly what parents see, and share your link and code via Copy or WhatsApp. • Parents whose phone number is already on the student's record get in automatically; everyone else lands in the new "Parent requests" inbox (with bulk approve/reject). Removing a parent cuts off their number on every device. Payments • Fairer joining-month pricing: a new student's first month is priced from the day they enroll, and every payment card explains the math — "Joined {date} · X of Y classes · {amount} of {full}". Manual overrides show who set them and when, with one-tap reset. • New one-time "billing start month" setting: months before it are never billed — perfect when you register your roster before classes begin. • Tapping an assistant now opens one merged screen: wallet balance, withdraw and hand-over history above the full collections ledger, with "In wallet now" / "All collections" views. • Partial payments now show exactly which months the cash covered and make clear the remainder isn't lost — with an option to forgive small leftovers. • Collection notes appear on ledger rows, "in hand now" is accurate right after a full hand-over, and lists shimmer while loading instead of freezing. Students • Bulk import now streams with a live "processed / total" counter and can be safely cancelled — nothing half-saved.
