How am I supposed to use any of the info they give me if I can’t even enter on the app. The same thing happens on the website ### 1/5 — Trouble *2025-05-16* During my tour, not only was I robbed, but kidnapped 2 separate times. I was taking a tour to New York, and out of the blue, a few guys jump out wearing EF hats and stuff me in the back of a van. My dog was injured in the accident. He died. Please do NOT buy this app ### 1/5 — Not a great app *2025-05-08* The app wouldn’t allow me to put my tour number in. I tried everything. Deleting the app, resetting my phone, even turning WiFi off and back on. I wasn’t able to check my itinerary, so I didn’t know how much money I needed that day. ### 1/5 — EF Tours Experience and the app *2025-03-16* On the way back from the trip, our flight got cancelled and EF refused to do anything about it; leaving 53 children in a foreign airport. The app itself was only okay as long as you had a good tour guide that posts everything. Do yourself a favor and don’t do tours with EF tours. ### 1/5 — Useless until 30 or 21 Days Prior to Travel *2024-12-29* The app is literally 100% useless until 30 days prior to departure for domestic trips and 21 days prior to international trips. You cannot access your trip, check entry requirements, complete pre-travel requirements, or view ANY details about your trip. There is literally NOTHING you can do with the app until then. ### 1/5 — Massive fail 👎🗑️ *2024-07-13* Would never wish an ef tour on my worst enemy. I’ve been treated like an inmate at a prison for the past 2 weeks. DO NOT PURCHASE!! ### 3/5 — Big group, Big help *2024-07-08* So I know that there are some reviews that say that this app is trash but I don’t think that’s true it’s good for keeping track of your travel schedule it also helps with big groups it doesn’t have many flaws except one which is if you’re going by yourself don’t waste time downloading the app okay? ### 1/5 — Cant login and no code was given *2024-06-21, version 1.23.1* Cant reset password ### 1/5 — EF TOURS FAIL ‼️‼️‼️ *2024-06-14* EF tours at the start seemed like a good way to help me and my family travel for a lower cost. However, the cost difference, no matter what it is (unless it is free) will never be worth what they have put us through. When we had all payed off our trips, we threw a celebration party as our accounts had said $0 left to pay for the entire trip. Unfortunately, they added 4,500 dollars a few weeks later just days before our trip. We have called them multiple times and they have said “don’t worry until after the trip” to us. It is hard to not worry about such a large unaffordable cost though. Also, the group we got paired with is EXTREMELY RUDE! When we were touring with a guide, they would talk over him about their friends or something irrelevant. Also, on the train, they told us to be quiet and wear headphones as some were trying to sleep, however, they talked so obnoxiously loud the entire time, unaware of their actions. After I talked to them about it and being respectful, they laughed in my face. VERY RUDE! Also, our tour guide is continuously rushing us everywhere and then we end up getting there with hours to spare and time that could have been spent exploring or seeing more. Such as when we left for the 2:30 train at 11. We waited in the station for over 2 hours after getting rushed out of London tower. Also, after a 7 hour plane ride (overnight) the next day we got no rest and the tour planned for us to walk 7.5-9 miles on less than 3 hours of rest and sleep. Overall it is not worth it to go with EF and most of us ended up disappointed. BOOK WITH A DIFFERENT COMPANY ‼️‼️‼️ ### 1/5 — Potentially useful, falls short to being useless. *2024-06-05* After reading reviews, it seems as if it’s up to the tour director. This could tell you when to be where, instead it has vague information that could have been a copy paste from the sales documents. Don’t bother with the app unless you are going to make people update it. Flight information, rise and shine information…all if it. ### 2/5 — The app would be great, except…. *2024-05-28, version 1.23.1* I have 2 kids going on two different EF trips at the same time. I feel like you should be able to have more than one tour on the main page so you can toggle back and forth. Instead, I have to log out and log in again with the tour number and access code each time to switch between the two. ### 2/5 — Ups and Downs *2024-04-21* first of all, the sights were amazing and very interesting. i am from canada and went to Washington, d.c. and New york city. the tour director, Kerry DuPree was rude and disrespectful. i lent her my coat in Nyc since she was SHIVERING and back on the tour bus she rudely tossed it to me and didn’t say thank you. the supper was terrible and we went to “MargaritaVille” or VomitVille because it smelt like a party dorm at college. it smelt like 100 teens had threw up on the floor and it had gotten stale. the food, was also mid at best. I got sick on the first day and THREW UP. they left me and my mom in the food court by ourselves with terrible wifi connection. good trip but awful director and restaurants. ### 2/5 — Poor UX *2024-03-27* The itinerary page refreshes and has to reload every time you switch tabs or switch between apps. Because it autoscrolls to the top every time it does this, it is especially annoying switching between it and the calendar app. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Awful tour and waste of money *2026-06-27* I went on a tour with EF for a school trip to Italy and it was awful. The only good parts came from the country itself and not from this organization. We were on the plane for over twelve hours between layovers and they would not let us high school students rest. The buses are in bad condition and one of the outlets shocked someone. They make you wait pointlessly in the heat. This trip was expensive and it would have been so much better without using the horrific company. Book with literally ANYONE else. ### 1/5 — Strange *2026-06-09* The tour was incredible, 10/10, life changing world changing universe changing experience. But I have to give one star because 13 hours for a plane ride is simply unreasonable. ### 1/5 — 5000 wasted *2026-06-08* So my family and I have spent around 25k in total with EF Tours yet our tour was filled with nothing. Apparently we were supposed to ask our tour consultant yet we were never given 1. So we spent about 2k going around doing this we wanted to do. So my thing is where and what could they have possibly have done with our 25k. So if you’re thinking about using them just don’t put the money aside and just plan out your own adventure don’t use these scam artists. ### 1/5 — EF CARES ABOUT MONEY NOT THEIR USERS *2026-04-10* We took a school trip and most of our people aren’t picky eaters. Some of the food was good/decent. Some of the food was repulsive to the point that people were gagging and puking in the restaurant. I know these issues don’t directly pertain to the app but moreover the company. They pick the food places that they probably don’t look at, choose the cheapest meal option, and it’s truly disappointing that they only care about getting peoples money. ### 1/5 — Can’t do anything *2025-06-06* Unable to enter your number rendering app useless. I was a student and we went to Washington DC and it was the best time I’ve ever had. This tour app and tour guide was amazing, I could check the app to see where we would go next, the driver was amazing and everyone was so sad to see him go, and our tour guide managed to find the perfect balance of keeping us safe, entertained, and still have freedom to do/see what we want. When I looked at the reviews I had low expectations, but it was the best time of my life and absolutely amazing! If you are looking for a fun tour this is the way to go. I have made memories on this trip that I will remember for ever, and I learned while having fun. Our tour guide pasted the time on the bus by doing trivia with little keychains for prizes. They were super helpful and somehow managed to even make 8th grade boys behave and engage with what we are doing. These are just a few examples, but this was amazing and I can’t say that enough 100% recommend! ### 5/5 — YAY *2025-03-31* I love this app!!!!!!! Our tour director, Sem, was entertaining, informative and a calming presence to have knowing that he was on his game 100% of the time. He clearly loves his job. He was quick to make suggestions when necessary and at times had to make quick alternative plans. This app was a game changer for my travelers, but I suspect it was only as amazing as our Tour Director made it. She posted *everything*- breakfast times, daily departure times, and very detailed daily itinerary info (including free time suggestions- with links, prices, and info). Having the evaluation tools at my finger tips was great, too. Much better than passing the tablet around! Like other users, I had some initial problems logging in. Those issues were magically resolved after some follow-up with EF, and it started working a few days before departure. I didn’t use the payment tool, but in addition to paying for the excursions, I would like to see an update that allows me to see which travelers paid for each excursion. (Sometimes they forget or don’t know they were signed up.)
