## What is Efficient Guitar Triad Chords?

Need to learn triad chords? Need to learn which triads belong to each scale? Need to find the most efficient transitions between chords? This is the app for you.

This focuses on the most common of triad chords, the ones on the first three strings. A great way to diversify your sound! Great to fingerpick, arpeggiate, try a reggae sound, or just get a different feel than you would streaming open chords, barre chords or chunky power chords.

First select a scale (all the common modes are offered.) The screen will show the chord charts for each triad in that scale, as well as their accompanying first and second inversions. This is a good starting point for learning the chords.

Now, to take it a step further, tap on the first chord in your progression, say the root I chord. The most efficient chord inversion for each of the remaining chords in the scale will be highlighted. This will help you reduce the amount of movement along the neck. So if you wanted to go from the C major (I) chord with it's root on the 8th fret, to a G major (V) chord, the suggested chord would be the first inversion of G at the 7th fret.

## Key features

- Learn triad chords on the first three strings
- Select from common musical scales and modes
- View chord charts and inversions
- Highlights efficient chord transitions
- Reduces finger movement on the neck
- Diversifies guitar sound

### 2/5 — A visual strain

*2020-03-11*

Graphic needs to be larger, great idea though. Hope it can be addressed in an update?

### 4/5 — Good Idea.

*2019-02-02, version 1.0*

I think that this app is very useful and addresses an important topic in guitar education. That’s why I gave it 4 stars. However, the diagrams are hard to read and the inversions are based on the melody note instead of the root, which may confuse people. That being said, I look forward to this app’s refinement.

### 5/5 — Very intuitive and deceptively simple

*2017-05-12, version 1.0*

This app is very intuitive and useful. Learning triads with this app is efficient. Saves us time searching for the specific chords used in just about every western scale and mode. Deceptively simple yet transmits complex information.

### 5/5 — Very Useful App

*2017-02-24, version 1.0*

What a shame that the only other review for this app calls it "useless". I find it to be quite useful- it is a reference for working with guitar triads on the G, B and E treble strings. Mastery of these triads can really open up one's understanding of guitar chords, scales and playing lead guitar. But Here's the catch- this is not a hand holding tutorial app. You have to already have some theory under your belt to know what it is you're looking at. You have to have some understanding of triads and why they are so important to appreciate this app.

When these prerequisites are understood, this app becomes a wonderful reference for learning triads in any key, up and down the fretboard using inversions. Before I found this app, I was going to sit down and work out all the triads and inversions in all the different keys myself on blank fretboard sheets of paper. I kept putting this off as it was going to be very time consuming. Then I found this app and all the work is done for me! All I can say is thank you....what a terrific ready made reference. Kudos.....

**Developer response:** Thanks for truly getting it!

### 1/5 — Useless

*2017-01-27, version 1.0*

Unreadable. Waste of money .

**Developer response:** At least you're living up to your name ;)
