## What is EFFT Companion+Script?

Developed by Dr. Adele Lafrance and colleagues.

The EFFT Companion and Script-Builder helps parents and caregivers practice calm, supportive responses when a child is stressed or distressed.

Grounded in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), the app offers clear teaching on the Validation & Support framework, guided practice scenarios, script builders to find your own words, and advanced Therapeutic Apology tools.

Important: The EFFT Companion and Script-Builder is an educational companion resource. It is designed to supplement work with an EFFT-trained clinician and is not a substitute for professional mental health care. in Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), the app offers:
• Teaching on the Validation & Support (VS) framework
• Guided VS practice scenarios and a script builder
• Teaching on the Therapeutic Apology and script-building

If you find the app to be helpful, we also invite you to contribute to support development and access for families.
