## What is Ehtares?

Scam texts in Egypt look exactly like the real thing: your "bank", your "network operator", a package you never ordered. Ehtares (احترس) reads the patterns behind the message — not just the words — and tells you what's safe before you tap anything.

HOW IT WORKS Every message is scored 0–100 by a detection engine built for Egyptian scam patterns, in Arabic and English: • Bank and brand impersonation (CIB, NBE, Vodafone, Orange, Etisalat, InstaPay, Fawry…) • Fake prize draws and "you've won" advance-fee scams • Phishing links, disguised lookalike domains and punycode tricks • Urgency and threat language designed to make you act without thinking • OTP and credential phishing Every verdict comes with plain-language reasons and the exact signals that fired — you see why, not just a score.

LIVE THREAT INTELLIGENCE When you report a scam, Ehtares adds anonymised signals (sender, domains, patterns — never your identity) to a community network. When several people independently report the same scam wave, everyone's app flags it. Unknown senders can also be checked against this live intelligence before the message reaches your inbox.

PRIVACY FIRST • Analysis runs on your device by default • Nothing is stored on our servers — a message is scored and forgotten • Reporting is opt-in, with per-message consent • Verification-code messages are never blocked
