When arm or disarm, app will not show current status without exiting app and restarting. Using elk link app, works great. ### 2/5 — Needs Landscape Mode *2016-08-11, version 3.0.2* Generally works fine but setup isn't simple. Also app can fall asleep and takes a few seconds to reconnect each time. I run a 24 hour business that I can now remotely set and turn off my alarm. I highly recommend products from this provider. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Zone status fail *2025-05-23, version 3.8.68* Spent about six weeks trying to get this app to work with my ELK alarm system. I even brought in an IT specialist to help. We tried numerous changes in the configuration as well as a new modem and a new router. Support was responsive and helpful, however, I was never able to get the app to stay synchronized with the status of the system and therefore it was unusable. I wasn’t able to arm the system because it thought the door was open or that it wasn’t bypassed. Unfortunately it’s been more than 30 days so I am not able to get a refund. Really disappointed. ### 1/5 — Awful. This App is unreliable and frustrating! *2018-08-03, version 3.0.42* Unfortunately Elk is the example of how money can’t buy you happiness, nor reliability, nor customer satisfaction. If you want to use you alarm remotely, this certainly is the biggest waste of money. It vary rarely connects. I have to enter and exit the app multiple times. M1 systems are multi platform systems, to remove the function keys is a an unacceptable pitfall for standard M1 functionality. I’m not technically savvy and the tech was very patient and responsive. Now it refuses to automatically update alarm status after arming/disarming unless you exit the app and reenter. Really well designed app. I installed it and it got it working within 2 minutes. The layout is great and very clear. I have a ness m1 gold. The Apple warch interface is also very cool and usable. You can arm and disarm from the Apple Watch. My wife needs an easy to use system and this will do the job perfectly!
