INTEFACE CUSTOMIZATION

From a single button interface to an interactive floor plan, the eKeypad interface can be adapted to fit. Both stock and custom interfaces are available on all iOS platforms. The pre-built interface offers a large number of customizations and organization options. Tablet platforms extends this ability to create fully custom touch screen interfaces for use on tables or TV screens.

ORGANIZATION AND CAPABILITIES

To make larger integrated systems easier to use, eKeypad learns the equipment setup to optimized user interaction. eKeypad is not only aware of the systems configured, but also the capabilities of each individual item in the system. This allows for intelligent sorting and the display of item controls. By configuring multiple systems and using the profiles feature, items can be consolidated across systems, separated into separate views or any combination if the two.

The security of your system and personal data is very important and eKeypad uses both visible and non-visible features to safeguard them. We do not make use of cloud servers and do not store your data outside your mobile device. All data is stored on the device encrypted and all network connections use encryption protocols where possible.

### 3/5 — Nothing better out there, but…

There is really nothing else in this space that has the wealth of features eKeypad Pro has for the control of an Insteon network though the ISY994i controller. That said, reliability is a bit of an issue. It’s frustrating when it “ignores” button presses. It’s more frustrating when it won’t connect to the ISY at all, particularly after a router power cycle/power failure (though this may be an ISY issue - I simply don’t have the time of the means to diagnose and isolate it to one or the other, but cycling  network access on  the ISY resolves it. Damned difficult to do when not on site, though…) And the Apple Watch app. I really miss it. Was great to have that ease of access, but apparently too great a burden on the developers to keep it alive. It’s been years…

The past few months (2021) have seen a lot of bug fixes and better performance.  I’ve been using this for several years with my Elk M1 and ISY-994 and it’s pretty nice.

I have been using this app for some years now and totally love it. Works flawlessly and reliably, this app is the main reason I won’t change away from iPhone- nothing else comes close. The developer offers great and friendly support (on the rare occasions that I needed help with an unusual network configuration etc, the app itself is rock solid). I use this app numerous times each and every day. The developer keeps the app current and upto date. Perfect.

I hate this update, I used to like the grouping of statuses:eg zones bypassed or violated as well as lights on and dimmed. Now I have to scroll down the list to each one. It’s ok if you have only a few lights or zones but I have too many that makes it pain-full.
