There’s not even a “help” button on this app to guide you how to figure this out. I want to share a widget with ONE person, they take a pic, it ends up on their phone, with nothing on mine, I take a pic, it ends up on my phone and not there’s. The group names keep changing themselves on both of our ends without either of us doing anything. The groups are duplicating themselves, photos are duplicating themselves, once you open the widget, it opens photos back to back to back and then goes to the home ekko screen. This app is nothing but a train wreck, it should NOT be this complicTed to just send a single photo ### 2/5 — Premium subscription *2024-01-28, version 1.0.4* I downloaded the app and it immediately said that I had subscribed to the premium version when I hadn't. I tried to contact support but no one replied. I haven't paid yet, but I'm afraid I'll have to in the future. Does this problem occur frequently? ### 2/5 — Doesn’t save photo history *2022-04-27, version 1.0.4* My biggest fault with this app is the fact that it only saves photo history for up to 24 hours. This makes it unusable as a way to save memories. If facilitating the sharing of memories, why would it not save these memories too? Other apps like similar to Ekko have a “history” feature, and for this reason alone, I would prefer to use them. If a photo history feature was added, I would re-download. ### 3/5 — No photo history *2023-11-16, version 1.0.4* This app would be even more incredible if it saved photo history and cycled through the photo history. My family (only the ones with iPhones, maybe an android update in the future?) uses this app more than regular social media apps. But we’d use it sooo much more if it saved the photo history. I can only see them after there is a new picture in its place. It should be offered you’d get more reviews bigger audiences —- Response: I actually think it wouldn’t be like Snapchat at all. We’ve been using this app as a way to show each other photos and leave each other messages without the need to directly message one another between a friend and I. Also broke that awkward ice or wanting to say something without the pressure of a text, especially if it was more sentimental. It’s private, we can go about our day and still update each other. I found it useful when I had graduated and couldn’t spend time with them from my schedule. It was easy, still allowed connection, and the widget always felt like a message than a “post”. It wasn’t an album which wouldve been a hassle, it wasn’t like BeReal where there’s not as much privacy (still similar) but yet somewhat completely different and unique. This app stands out because you can’t find another for it. I have Snapchat and to be frank, I rather this. My reason behind saying this is because I think adding videos and audios would make it even more personal. Sometimes pictures don’t capture everything a short clip, a voice note, can make it feel more alive, like you’re really sharing a moment instead of just an image. It would also make it feel more interactive without breaking that quiet, simple connection the app already has. Which was the point (for the pair audience). What I really love is that it doesn’t pressure you to “perform” the way social media does. It’s not about likes, streaks, or filters just genuine updates that feel intentional. Even when life gets busy, it’s a small, meaningful way to stay in touch. It got me through high school and after that to maintain my bond with my friend when we were separate. I’m 21 now and it was honestly the only way we are able to have gotten closer now. And I remember wishing that we could leave voice messages to upload, or videos. That’s one thing where it felt very limited in. Unfortunately there are no similar apps like this so I thought to just suggest it. Unlike some people I actually like that the story disappears.
