## What is Elaho?

**IMPORTANT** this is not a Web browser, it will not work for sites like Google, Facebook, etc.

Gemini is a new, collaboratively designed internet protocol, which explores the space in between gopher and the web, striving to address (perceived) limitations of one while avoiding the (undeniable) pitfalls of the other.

Gemini Browser support features of web browsers, but brings them to Gemini protocol.

I would love for this to have better certificate management. I don't see any way for me to specify (much less import) a client certificate to use on a domain.

Wow, so glad you trimmed the edges on this!  Elaho is a lovely Gemini client, and very clean.  I’d like to put a few tiddlywinks in your wish cup, though:
1. ANSI escapes don’t seem to work yet.  But thank you for including this in your support of SMOLNET-COLOUR.
2. Gopher and Finger and other Smolnet protocols could use inclusion, if only to forward the link via iOS share to Gopher client and such.
3. A download/feed option would truly make Elaho ahead of the pack.  Many is an offline moment when one might wish to read and respond to a glog/phlog.  A button press to recache a reading list would be excellent.

Delighted to discover the simplicity of Project Gemini, which shows what the web might be like just focused on ideas in text, without the tracking, banners, and obnoxious ads. Elaho is a great way to jump in in your iPhone!

For me, it was an absolutely seamless and awesome transition experience, far above what I expected for what I had previously assumed would be a less mature ecosystem.
