## What is Elan Player?

Elan Player is a video player for iPhone, iPad and Mac that plays MKV, AVI, HEVC and many other formats with external SRT, ASS and SMI subtitles. Find the videos on your device and your NAS in one place and pick up where you left off.

Videos and subtitles
• MKV, MP4, AVI, MOV, TS, FLV, WMV and more (FFmpeg-based decoding)
• External SRT, ASS/SSA, VTT and SMI (SAMI) subtitles with automatic encoding detection
• Adjust subtitle size, position and timing
• Burn subtitles into a new MP4 (your original stays untouched)

Find your videos and pick up where you left off
• Open videos from the Files app, your photo library or folders
• Recents, resume playback, playlists and bookmarks
• Playback speed, aspect ratio and A-B repeat
• Picture in Picture and background audio (iPhone and iPad)

Network playback
• Browse SMB and FTP shares on your NAS and play right away
• Play HTTP and HLS stream URLs

Elan Player does not provide any video content. It plays only your own files and videos on servers you have access to. Whether a file plays, and how well, depends on its codec, your device and your network.
