## What is Eldercare Captain?

Eldercare Captain is the shared command center for adult siblings coordinating care for an aging parent.

Stop losing track of who took Mom to the cardiologist, what the doctor said last visit, and whether anyone reordered her blood pressure medication. Eldercare Captain replaces the chaos of group texts, sticky notes, and missed medications with a single source of truth the whole family can update from anywhere.

WHAT IT DOES

Voice Visit Logs — After any appointment or check-in, dictate what happened in under 60 seconds. On-device AI generates a structured summary: vitals, medication changes, follow-ups, and the next appointment.

Medication Tracker — Photograph each pill bottle. AI extracts the name, dose, schedule, and prescriber. A daily checklist mirrors a real pillbox (morning / afternoon / evening / night). Refill warnings 7 days before the bottle runs out.

Shared Appointment Calendar — A shared calendar with AI-generated prep checklists for every appointment ("bring insurance card, current medication list, blood pressure log from last week").

Crisis Mode — One tap puts everyone on alert with current medications, allergies, emergency contacts, and a live status thread.

Document Vault — Photograph insurance cards, advance directives, POA documents, and discharge papers. OCR makes them searchable.

Decision Threads — Replace the dreaded group text. Each decision ("should we hire weekend help?") gets a structured thread with vote tracking and a recorded outcome.

Family Workspace — One invite link creates a private space for one parent's care. Up to 8 members. Roles: Captain, Sibling, Caregiver, Read-only.

Family Sync Across Devices — Every sibling sees the same meds, logs, and appointments in real time on their own device, synced privately through iCloud.

Home & Lock Screen Widgets — Today's remaining doses and the next appointment, glanceable without opening the app. When Crisis Mode is active, a Live Activity keeps the family updated right on the Lock Screen.

AI Care Brief & Trends — On-device AI reads across the whole timeline to surface what a busy caregiver misses ("her blood pressure has come up in the last three logs").

Smart Reminders — Automatic refill alerts, appointment coverage nudges, and a weekly Caregiver's Briefing delivered on schedule.

Care Reports (Pro) — One tap creates a clean PDF or CSV care summary — meds, visits, appointments, allergies — to hand to a new doctor, hospital nurse, or attorney.
