## What is Electoral Dominance?

Electoral Dominance is an election strategy game with a simple premise. Pick a country, pick an office, and try to win it.

There are 197 countries in here and 587 offices between them. You can run for a city council seat, a provincial governorship, or the top job, and the maps and numbers underneath are the real ones. The British Commons has 650 seats. Thailand's House has 500. The American electoral college has 538 votes and you need 270 of them. The boundaries you see are the actual administrative boundaries, and the population on each district is the population that lives there.

THE POLLS ARE NOT THE RESULT

The map shows you what the pollsters believe. Election night counts what people actually did, and the gap between those two things is the game. Polls arrive late, carry noise, and come from outlets that lean one way or the other. A district nobody has bothered to poll can still decide the race.

YOUR WEEK

You get a handful of actions and whatever is in the war chest. Hold a rally and roll the dice on it. Buy advertising, if there is any left, because airtime is a finite market and the other campaign shops early. Build a ground game, which pays you a little every week and turns people out on the night. Raise money in a room full of donors who all want something in return.

Debate nights run over several rounds, with preparation you draft beforehand. Sit-down interviews branch on what you just said, and the host has read the same opposition research everyone else has.

THE PARTS NOBODY PUTS IN A BROCHURE

Every candidate has a past, including yours. You can dig through theirs and choose the week it lands. You can bury your own paper trail, or defuse a story by telling it yourself on a quiet Friday. You can invent one outright and race the fact-checkers to Election Day, and if they catch it the backlash is yours. When something lands on you, the week stops until you answer it.

There is a back room as well. Ward bosses who deliver turnout and expect a favour, envelopes that arrive with conditions attached, and a heat level that decides whether anybody starts asking questions.

NOT EVERY COUNTRY COUNTS FAIRLY

Some races carry a warning before you file. The count leans toward whoever is already in power, the press answers to a ministry, and a provocation can end with a permit withdrawn, a raid, or a visit. There is always a way to win those races. It is rarely a comfortable one.

A CAREER, NOT A CAMPAIGN

Career mode keeps you as one politician in one country. Name recognition, your record and your money follow you from race to race. Nobody starts at the top, and losing miserably still builds a name.

WHAT IS IN IT

197 countries and 587 offices, on real maps with real populations
A polling engine that hides the truth and reports it badly, on purpose
Opposition research, timing, inoculation and counter-attacks
Fabricated stories that can be debunked, with consequences when they are
Multi-round debates and branching interviews
Staff you hire, negotiate wages with, and have to keep paying
Election night with poll closings, calls, upsets and a tipping point
Game Center leaderboards and achievements, if you want them
No account to make, nothing to log into, and it plays offline

Every candidate in the game is invented. The machinery around them is real.
