### 3/5 — Good but...

*2013-10-09, version 1.6.3*

It's a good app for learning the fretboard which teaches you in a very systematic way, which is good, but very boring once you get past the first couple of keys (learning chords by the way) be better if it gave you random questions (rather then chords in order) and maybe a progress bar to show you how far you had come. Good, but could be better...

### 2/5 — No sound in iPad

*2012-08-21, version 1.6*

Nifty app for learning notes on fretboard but no sound on iPad version!!

### 2/5 — Why 2 Stars?

*2012-05-28*

It seems to constantly ask you:

"DO YOU WANT TO CONFIRM YOUR IN-APP PURCHASE FOR (insert money amount here)?

I dislike that.

### 3/5 — One step towards a journey of a thousand miles…

*2012-01-15, version 1.4.3*

It makes me have to learn the notes which is good because I am a lazy learner. Not found how to make the notes random on custom but still learning a and e string. It is sinking in and because I'm not lugging a guitar round all the time it's easy to just click ang get on with it. And of course it's free. Thanks, major scale next which is a frightening prospect.

### 1/5 — Vincent castronovo

*2011-09-20*

I love him. Period

### 1/5 — Needs lots of improvment

*2011-08-20*

Needs an option for freeplay and less confusing title screens.

### 3/5 — Deceitful practice - Will no longer use this

*2011-08-15*

Had downloaded this months ago, had been using it and improving, and was ready to upgrade; decided first I'd checkout the author's free electric-guitar version. It had nothing new or different except the neck graphic, so back to this to upgrade...but no longer an option. REMOVED AND REPLACED WITHOUT WARNING!!!

Now, I have a different version of the program I had in which *EVERY FEATURE* is an individual several-dollar 'purchase'. No "full" version available.

I was ready to upgrade at whatever price, but I will not have my money swindled from me. I will find another author whose software fills the same need, and I will buy IT instead. What a crappy way to treat your users!

### 1/5 — What a stupid app

*2011-08-12, version 1.4*

I was hoping I'd found a good guitar play app for my iPhone but this stupid app is guess the notes! What's the point ghuuuuuuuuh

### 1/5 — ein stern ...kein stern

*2011-07-12*

muss man features nachkaufen (a € 2,39)

### 4/5 — Notes memorization

*2011-07-06*

Awesome way to strenghtning note memorization across the fretboard. I just use it almost every day and just get better by the day. Thanks for the people involve in this!

### 1/5 — Hate it

*2011-07-04*

This is the dumb app that nobody would get! I give this a D- failed

### 1/5 — Free Version

*2011-06-04*

Die Free-Version ist unbrauchbar und voll nervender Werbung.

### 2/5 — The good and the bad

*2011-05-13, version 1.3*

Pro: unsure, didn't keep it installed that long. A pro would be it is free.

Cons: it demands you pay in game. If you refuse you have a basic guitar learning app. My only concern is the guitar sounds out of tune to me, slightly flat. I'm a tuning nazi though so that would drive me crazy. Can't play anything with it,. Good attempt though.

### 4/5 — A student of the guitar...

*2011-05-09*

UPDATE: Special pricing during holiday weekend should be the permanent price. It is actually reasonable.

This ap teaches you what a KEY is by teaching each note in that key on the freeboard, among other things. My suggestion for improvement on the full version is this: allow me to easily limit the number of frets to learn. Learning the entire 12 frets at once is a little difficult for anyone.
It is very helpful to identify what key my riffs are in, and for that it gets 4 stars. This is a great, and unique application. Thanks for improving it. Please keep it up.

### 1/5 — A waste

*2021-02-04, version 1.7.4*

This app is a waste of space on a phone

### 1/5 — Unbrauchbar und veraltet

*2019-05-10*

In der freien Version sind nur die Noten der leeren Saiten enthalten und das ganze in einem Design verpackt, das wohl nur auf dem iPhone 4 keinen Augenkrebs verursacht. Seht euch nach einer anderen App um!

### 1/5 — No Joy

*2017-07-18, version 1.7.3*

I wouldn't use this App, even if they paid me.

### 1/5 — Very buggy.

*2016-07-10*

You get to a point where it asks you to find the "?" String. Lol I was not aware there was a "?" string.

### 1/5 — Very limited demo

*2014-01-16, version 1.7.1*

Only uses the first three frets - this is just a demo, it's useless as an app.

### 1/5 — iOS 7 app ONLY

*2013-11-30, version 1.7*

Enjoyed the app for months but with an iPod 4 I can't use it any more. Sad Microsoft "buy a new computer" thinking !

### 1/5 — Boring

*2013-03-31, version 1.6.1*

Guess the note. Not a simulation of a guitar in any way.

### 1/5 — Not for beginners

*2013-01-28*

Doesn't have training mode. So not for beginners as have to already know the notes. Fail.

### 1/5 — RUBBISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*2012-01-07, version 1.4.3*

What a rubbish app it's guess the notes what pointless app. why can't you actually make a proper guitar app?????????????????????

### 1/5 — Not good.

*2011-11-28*

This app is pretty bad. You can't do anything in it without paying. Everything you try to do it asks you to upgrade. Deleted!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Guitar Addict

*2020-10-24, version 1.7.4*

Good app, it is really helping me to get a grip of the keyboard, however the app does not teach you notes beyond the 12th fret, which is a problem, as in music notes above the 12th fret are at times notated.

### 5/5 — Great for learning the fretboard

*2013-04-03, version 1.6.1*

Great app for learning the guitar fretboard and tuning your musical ear

### 5/5 — Best learning tool!

*2012-02-19, version 1.4.3*

The best available way to learn your notes when the guitar is not available!

### 5/5 — Forever learning

*2011-12-23*

A great app to maintain fretboard mastery or achieve same. Every guitarist can spend a few moments everyday to hone their knowledge and reap the rewards in no time.

### 5/5 — Bucuo不错

*2011-08-16*

### 5/5 — Screuf

*2011-02-27, version 1.0.5f*

Awesome game

### 4/5 — For all the lefty's in the world...

*2011-12-26, version 1.4.3*

A very good app to help you learn the notes on the fretboard but very confusing for a left handed guitarist. Please put a left handed feature in this app and I will buy it! Many thanks :)
