Texas started testing electricians on the 2026 NEC on September 1, 2026. Articles were renumbered and the load calculations moved to a new chapter, so a lot of study material out there still points to the old book. This app was written on the 2026 edition from the first question. You can start without paying. There are 45 practice questions, three from each of the 15 subject areas, plus five new ones every day pulled from the whole bank. You also get a level check that scores you area by area against the pass mark, four worked calculations and the full exam guide. To open all 763 questions, the 11 timed exams and the 24 worked calculations there is a 30-day pass ($14.99), a 90-day pass ($29.99) or Texas Pro for life ($49.99). The passes are not subscriptions. They run out and that is it. The timed exams follow the TDLR outline for Journeyman and Master (NEC and Calculations portions), Residential Wireman, Maintenance, Journeyman Industrial, both Sign licenses, Residential Appliance Installer and Journeyman Lineman. Each one pulls the number of questions per area the outline sets, with the real time limit and pass mark. The calculations are where most people lose points. Dwelling services by both methods, multifamily feeders, motors, transformers, conduit fill and voltage drop are worked step by step here. Every step shows the formula, the section and the table you open in your own code book, and then the mistake people usually make. The exam is open book, so the app trains you to find the answer in the NEC and to run the numbers. Every explanation cites the 2026 section it comes from. Everything can be switched to Spanish, and the article and table numbers stay as printed in your English book. Outside Texas the bank works for any exam on the 2026 NEC, which Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Dakota and Wyoming have adopted. If you find a question you think is wrong, report it from the question itself and the fix goes into the next update. This is an unofficial study aid.
