As a professional musician I would recommend to stay far away from this brand since they do not support or fix their software. I know I’ll be moving to qsc for my next purchase. ### 2/5 — Ok for inexperienced musicians rather then for professionals *2025-02-05, version 2.6.1* Bought the evolve 50m with small cooperate events in mind. The time I would save with setup not needing a separate mixer was the key argument. Sadly the mixing App seem to focus on people whose have no experience in doing sound: Gain and Level with only one knob is absolutely a no go for me, as it affects the behavior of the compressor as soon as there're any adjustments made to the level. An expert mode is highly appreciated... until then audio techs still have to bring an extra mixing device. At the moment the value added with the mixer is not worth (for experienced users) the extra price paid compared to evolve 50 (without m). ### 3/5 — Keeps Crashing & Disconnecting *2024-12-14, version 2.6.1* I’m trying to update the EQ settings and suddenly the app just disappears mid use or a lot of times I’ll go to click on the app in my iPad 9th generation and it makes me reconnect. Why doesn’t it stay connected? I never turned off the unit. It is so nice to live mix on stage when performing! We use it with an EV 50M when we are doing a solo/duo or trio setup. We also use it with a matched pair of EV 50 Ms when we have a larger setup. One thing I would love to see is the ability to view all inputs on one screen when working with a pair of EVs without having to select each speaker. It’s a full mixing board in your phone. The effects are very good but I hope they’re still working on them and eventually give us a little more control over things. But aside from that, it’s astonishing. Three bands of EQ on each input channel, seven bands of overall EQ for the speaker itself, and if that’s not enough, you can switch to full parametric mode and have a seven band parametric EQ. On your phone. Wirelessly. And there’s three bass response presets for if you have the speaker in tilt back mode, lying down in monitor mode, or up on a speaker stand. And these people are whining…? It’s a fantastic bloody thing. Absolutely love it. Finally, after all these decades your product arrived making gigs possible completely wireless! No XLRs! No mixing board! No AC power needed! Get an extra battery and you have no time limits! Excellent sound quality! I used to have Yorkville EXM 8 and I must admit, EVs sound quality is significantly better, with all due respect to Yv! Wish someday you will release subwoofers too. I am almost completely satisfied with EV app, but I wish I had couple features that’ll make it even better. First, I’d love to have longer tap on 20th FX “tap” effect - I do love to play with delays during my lounge/chillout sax performances and 500ms is not quite long enough. Second, customizable channels screen: i’d love to have 3/4 channel volume on my mic channel 1 screen to quickly adjust playback volume. Again, I am a big fan of your product, keep working on it! Much appreciated! ### 5/5 — Update *2023-04-23, version 2.4.3* I originally gave this app a bad review because it would not pair. I finally figured out the problem. To pair successfully I restarted my phone, I went to settings and “forgot” the device. Then I pushed the pair button on the unit itself, went back to settings and clicked on the EV selection. I went back to the app and clicked on the pair spot and it worked. Now I can skip most of those steps if I simply push the pair button on the device before accessing the app. Then it pairs nicely.
