It’s so disappointing that no one at Electrolux thinks this is worth improving. Something like apps from 10 years ago. Surely these developers do not expect a user to rotate the iPad for only this app? All my other apps work in landscape. Changed my rating after reading the developer response to the review "An app created as a ruse for your data". The developer did not even read the review. Just posted their standard response to ALL reviews. Electrolux would be well advised to bring development in-house and move on from this developer. I have uninstalled the app and re installed on multiple occasions, restarted the phone but it no longer connects to the washing machine. I can’t schedule the washing machine but it does show on the app the planned start time when set up on the washer itself. When I try to set up a new appliance, in an attempt to try and set up again, it doesn’t tick the local network access even though it does have that allowed in settings. However it’s over for now…it’s finally working for how long nobody knows. I’m really hoping that developer won’t screw this up again. I downloaded the app and had a look and I still have no idea. It isn’t readily apparent how you download the additional wash programs and the programs listed don’t seem to add much to the selections available on the machine anyway. The machine is excellent. The app adds nothing to the user experience and I have deleted it. I didn’t understand that the connect icon on the fridge has to be on all the time and kept turning it off! ### 1/5 — An app created as a ruse for your data? Mmm? *2021-12-29* Admittedly I got rather excited to connect my brand new 10kg washing machine to what seemed like a snazzy app. I was very nervous about their privacy policy after I read it (I strongly encourage all customers to read this - and cue that nail biting moment as to whether you proceed), but excitement took over and I pressed ahead. As like most customers who have left a review, my washing machine is not connecting to my phone / Wi-Fi. Tried the good ol’ on off trick before trying to locate the answer via the in app FAQ section (seriously Electrolux your FAQ content is shocking!). Now I fear the app is merely a ruse to collect customer data and pass it onto third parties. Or for their own benefit, as clearly Electrolux are not listening to customer feedback on the app and actually fixing it (poised ready for Electrolux’s lengthy reply on how they have listened to customers and fixed issues…with this is mind I have my quick reply to your reply - 1 star app rating mate). I’ll be deleting the app immediately. If you are looking for new appliances that are tech enabled, skip Electrolux. I’m glad we don’t rely on it. However now you’ve even broken the water filter notification - I know I need to replace the water filter some time this month because I know roughly when I last did, but now it won’t tell me that useful information and says I’ve used it for 0 days of 0 days. Do not bother to download. *2021-09-06* I saw the reviews, but still gave it a go. Went through all the steps. The appliance seems to connect to my network, but the app has never successfully connected to the appliance. There isn’t even a chance to try again, just an error 79 that stays there for days. The next attempt to connect has the same result, then I’m locked out of trying again for days. I give up. An update to this. After a new version of the app was released a week ago, Sep 2021, it’s even worse. Now all I get is the word Electrolux on the screen.
