### 5/5 — Essential Subscription

*2013-06-03*

Finally, the gap in the market of music magazines has arrived. From early 80s synth bands, to 70s electronic legends, to obscure, left field experimentalism to up and coming, cutting edge underground techno, this publication covers it all.

No longer do we need to buy a magazine for one or two articles and discard it without reading the rest. These guys have page after page of educational, insightful and forward thinking content, where the enthusiasm shines through on every page.

Absolutely brilliant - A massive well done from me, and thoroughly recommended to those undecided.

### 5/5 — excellent :):)

*2013-05-12*

great first issue, good interviews review etc, i look forward to seeing how this develops over time. just one thing, unless I've missed it I can't see a date for the release each month. If it's around the same as the first issue it should be due any moment, can't wait :)

### 5/5 — Great!

*2013-04-19*

I've been waiting for this since the 1st print issue was published. The one-off print issue was great, but the magazine is even better on iPad. Digital media is the perfect platform for a magazine about electronic music.

### 5/5 — A new magazine about electronic music? Yes please!

*2013-04-16*

This is a really thorough magazine, beautifully designed with great interviews and review, all with embedded audio so you listen while you read. If you like electronic music, you'll love this.

### 5/5 — A very promising 1st (electronic) issue

*2013-04-16*

There's definitely a gap in the market for a quality publication about this genre of music. Hopefully this will fill it and more.

The first issue is very accessible, has a clear interface and excellent articles. The writing isn't half bad, either.

Highly recommended.

Good luck to Push and Mark.

### 1/5 — Needs to work in landscape in 2021

*2021-02-18*

Please fix the app so it also works in landscape for more recent iPads 👍

### 1/5 — Used to be great.

*2016-05-22*

This used to a really good example of what ought to be done with electronic magazines, it had clickable contents, different sized pages, artwork that magically appeared, embedded music. It was cool. Then they decided to move effort to a print magazine and it's all gone wrong.

Now it's just a buggy pdf reader. Issue 20 is where it starts. With an error message. Then it refuses to save my place after I exit the app and the bookmarks don't work. I've decided not to renew the subscription when it's up in August. Wish I could get a refund though. This is not the magazine I subscribed to anymore.

### 1/5 — DO NOT BUY! They are thieves!

*2015-01-31*

My child wanted this rag a couple years ago, and so we got it.

BIG MISTAKE

Now they "auto renew" the subscription each year.

Every time, I "cancel" it, but it keeps coming back.

I would give it zero stars if I could.

Their customer service is nonexistent.

Do not do business with them.

### 3/5 — Great magazine but...

*2020-05-29*

The magazine itself is really good, good mix of old and new, nerdy and not so. Some great nuggets in here

The issue I have is the fact that (a) if you buy the print copy you don't get the app. Hmm. So I let my print subscription go so I could go the app route. But the app is pretty terrible.it's basically just photos of the pages which you have to zoom in on and makes reading horrible. There are plenty of better ways to publish content for mobile I really hope the they look to get rid of this terrible one soon, easily five stars if I could just read without having to pinch and zoom all over the place..

### 4/5 — Fun and welcome

*2017-04-18*

Experimental and electronic music could use their own glossy... And here it is. Not just you, but your friends too will want to pick it up off the coffee table.

### 4/5 — Cracking read.

*2017-01-15*

Stumbled across the paper mag last year. Enjoyed the read on holiday and subscribed when I got home. Starting to work my way through the older editions. A really good way to find new music as well. Not all to my 80s synth pop preferences, but always good to experiment.

### 5/5 — Awesome Mag!

*2018-08-09*

Always an entertaining, educational and interesting read. I love this magazine!

### 5/5 — Excellent Subject Matter

*2017-10-01*

What a great mag! Superb insight into the electronic music world from the maestro’s of the music to the latest gadgets. Everything a monthly magazine should be.

### 5/5 — Just brilliant

*2017-08-10*

I can't think of another electronic music focused magazine that so is done with so much love for the overall genre. You never get the feeling that you're being sold anything, the pieces are just so well done it is like hanging out with a good friend who has an encyclopedic knowledge of electronic music. OK it is a bit "anorak-y" at times but I consider that a strength. The content is never dumbed down for a mass audience, and thank God for that. Highly recommended

### 5/5 — Excellent Magazine/Excellent App

*2017-02-13*

Great stuff all around!

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Very nicely designed and written

*2016-12-12*

Much more aesthetically pleasing than future music. Catered very much towards the synth lover.

### 5/5 — The ultimate electronic music mag

*2016-08-09*

Excellent

### 5/5 — Excellent and innovative

*2016-01-06*

Just like the music it covers.

### 5/5 — ‘Synthly' amazing

*2014-10-27*

This magazine has my fingers ‘strumming' and ‘drumming’ and one of the best 'produced'. I checked the free ‘sampler’ they offer and thought ‘Korg’! blimey!, this is ‘Massive' - it looks the ‘Komplete’ article, I gotta have this on subscription. Some of the music they show are way better than my ‘Garageband’ and what my ‘Rockmate’ can play. If they feature this review somewhere in the mag, that would be the ‘Final Touch’ for me!

### 5/5 — Synth tastic

*2014-01-02*

This is by far the best magazine of its kind. The interviews are top draw professional, the content is all encompassing and beautifully presented. Very neat embedded videos with external links to a whole library of other related material from the artist you're reading about. Highlights for me are the Vince Clarke interview by Jason Bradbury and the coverage of the Depeche Mode Delta Machine Tour.

### 5/5 — The future and the past!

*2013-07-13*

One of the few magazines I read from "cover" to "cover". Lots of articles about bands and musicians from 70s/80s gives this magazine a context, but also covers more contemporary bands that are working in the genre.
If you like electronic music, in whatever form, there is something here for you.
