The only downside to the printer is this app. The fact it doesn’t allow the user to slice within the app. It doesn’t allow users to upload models or files from the mobile device. These are key features other 3d printing apps offer like the small Tina2 Plus offers in app model slicing. To some it up this app isn’t in comparison with its competitors. NO BUILT-IN SLICER! ### 4/5 — Upgrade works fine *2026-08-19, version 1.2.5* This app works fine to control basic features such as hot plate and nozzle temperature plus you can monitor it via the camera while away from the office or home. This would be a 5 star app if they made more of the print library available. I keep running into “coming soon” or must open by slicer program on pc. You also don’t have any dynamic control over the prints, such as making them bigger or multiples. Also, you have to dig through menus to find out your recent print history. This should be at the very top, but it only allows you to show prints that you’ve recently browsed and that can make it hard if you’ve spent some time on the library. On the whole this app has really taken off over the last few months as I think more people are discovering it. I really hope the developers add more control features and make more prints available. ### 3/5 — UI was great, but it didn’t support my printer. *2026-07-30, version 1.2.0* The app itself was nice, and the model searching was smooth, with descriptions, photos, and reviews all working. However, it wasn’t(unless they have changed it) compatible with my printer(Centauri Carbon 1). So, I wasn’t able to test the functionality of the app itself. If you’re curious, the models they support(as of right now - or 7/30/26) are: SLAs: - Jupiter 2 - Mars 5 Ultra - Saturn 4 Ultra - Saturn 4 Ultra 16k FDM: - Centauri 2 - Centauri Carbon 2 Hope they add support to the Centauri Carbon 1. ### 4/5 — It’s better than I thought *2026-06-28, version 1.1.4* The app is good but the first few days I would have to open/close it around 5 times for it to see CC2 but after a few days it fixed itself. I do wish we would be given the option to see the prints that are in the USB in order to print. I sometimes want to print when away and forget to start the print before I leave home. I also wish we could see the timelapse from the app and save it from the app as well. I always forget I have to go through the printer settings. Constant drops and instability. When you contact Elegoo they just give you same generic “we are working on it”. Even the most recent release of my firmware did NOTHING. Have followed all network recommendations. It’s a shame because the design of the app is nice. It’s freaking ridiculous that I have to resign in multiple times, and then when I am, the app says it can’t find the printer. It’s driving me crazy. My biggest issue with this is that I have to enter my log in credentials every day. It had potential to be fantastic but the execution is really poor. In the instructions for how to connect to it are absent. The connection of the first device is fine. It’s having to bring in a new device and getting the QR code to display again. Why isn’t there an option to log into using the same methods as elegoo slicer or satalite? Previously I had a used an email with password or sign-in with Google. Updates that have been released have worked flawlessly and now adding the colour mod when release (already pre ordered) but the online app does not work with this printer only the model they brought out after .
