And glitchy UI when it came to magictrips. Overall 3 stars. However, in the last couple of weeks I’ve been having issues with the first 5-10 skills I choose not working. I’ll pick a skill, it’ll show the skill icon above the characters head but it doesn’t actually get added to my load out. The first few levels can be crucial in this type of game as it becomes more difficult to level the higher level you are. I’m leaving a 3 star review because, 1 this just annoying and makes me not want to play and 2, I can’t report an issue like a bug in the app. The only options they give to file a report are for payment issues or the deletion of your account. So, this is the only way I know how to report a bug in game. Once chosen, skills aren’t being properly equip during game play. ### 2/5 — Amazing game but… *2026-02-26, version 1.17.3* Honestly a great game but half of the unlocks I’ve achieved haven’t actually unlocked for me. Also, a cheater stole my first place position in an event. ### 2/5 — Decent but irritating *2024-12-13, version 1.12.2* Game is fun but 1-10 is impossible to clear. Ranged enemies can just jump to the other side of the map and melee enemies can wipe out 1/4 of your health with one hit. On top of that, you can’t ever self-heal except with a very rare drop. All that would be excusable if you could farm stats or equipment, but that’s not possible either. Truly enjoyed it. I had a ton of stuff and heroes leveled up/ascended in stars but I login today and all my progress is gone, all my heroes. All my adventures got reset as well ### 1/5 — Beta tester for months *2024-05-30, version 1.9.0* We were basically beta testers for months then all of a sudden they release this thing with microtransactions and erase allllll of our progress… do not support this company or this game. Started off great was real attentive fixed bugs etc. and then just stabbed us in the back. A bit betrayed. They will say “we didn’t erase your progress” they turned our progress into worthless gold and started our grind all over again. Theres this slot machine game mode where you literally have to clear it within like 8-10mins or else you fail, or you can subscribe to their monthly membership to speed up the levels so you can clear faster. If not, you literally have 1 minute to beat the boss or you lose your whole run. And beating the boss in under a minute is hard unless you’re extremely overleveled, which is hard to do unless you PAY. Then there’s the gacha part that’s HORRENDOUS. Sure they give you tons of summoning, but it don’t help when the rates are horrible. I’ve probably pulled 200+ multis and only landed ONE SSR hero, and keep in mind you’ll need like 100+ copies of it in order to even level up your character, or else there’s no way to level up your character. Horrible developer ### 1/5 — New Update made it Trash *2025-01-18, version 1.12.3* Game used to require skill to pass higher levels and find unique hero/elemental interactions. People had trouble advancing after a certain point on the big leaderboards as you would just take too much damage. Overall, the game was FUN to play, even if there was imbalance with some of the heroes. Then came the BIG UPDATE! The update was to add in a whole lot of copy/pasted mechanics from Survivor.io but not in a thought out way. The result is a buggy game that is now entirely pay to win focused that leaves the player in a confused state as everything is Frankensteined together and poorly integrated in an attempt to get you to spend money. It also removed any element of the FUN as combat was redone and everything is a push over. Literally pushed pas level 9(20🔥) with zero effort meaning the game is now whoever cares enough to do the same levels over and over and over each day to win the tourney. Honestly wouldn’t mind doing that if it was… at all fun. Overall, a huge shame they ruined it in an attempt to chase a game they’ll never catch. The game is still awesome just wish they can fix the bracket systems because sometimes you get matched against whales for leaderboards. But they are skilled at their craft. I’ve played it for a while, and it’s evolved over time. At first it was a good time-waister. Then leaderboards gave it a competitive edge. Time based leaderboard made it feel like being a part of a small speed-running community trying to figure out the best and fastest builds to use and the pros and cons of each character. Then more characters came! AND A SYSTEM TO LEVEL THEM UP! AND THEN EASIER TO GET!!! DID I MENTION THIS GAME HAS ZERO ADS! ARE YOU FRIGGIN’ KIDDING ME?!?! why have YOU not DOWNLOADed THIS yet!!! This game is engaging and entertaining. There’s no annoying bombardment of ads, stamina limit, or anything of the type. Getting rare characters and ascending them is actually completely feasible and you don’t need to rip your hair out over 0.00001% chances. The devs are really nice and responsive to feedback which actually makes you feel like you can impact the game. I highly recommend, give it a shot. ### 5/5 — This game deserves your time. *2024-02-25* As advertised, no monetization, no ads, no stamina limits, this alone is enough for 5/5 but it is actually an enjoyable game with good amount of customization, strategies and skill. Runs smooth, looks good and lots of achievements to keep you busy and trying out new things and the game hints at a higher rarity unit so they seem intending to make more content for this game. A few drawbacks as some of the skills are obviously bad, unique, but bad. There’s enough good ones to definitely experiment with to find the best combinations but at least 25% of each AS skill and about 40%ish general skills needs buffed to be considered even casually. Next it roughly took me 3 weeks to hit lvl 100 and as I was excited for my 4th skill slot and finally strong enough to hit MT9, I was kinda disappointed not by the fact it was still the same maps and enemies but by the fact the little things that do chip damage by complete chance or unavoidable damage now do 30% to completely one-shot of your character. I feel weaker than ever after the long grind and I feel they overturned the enemy damage numbers vs the strength increase of a 4th skill slot. Last are the achievements to run the weakest characters in a MT6.
