A refund but they never gave me 100 aed down the drain this app is literally a SCAM ### 1/5 — Dont fall for their trap *2023-04-02, version 6.6.3* Order did not get delivered , in app it shows as delivered, money was already deducted , when i talked to customer service agent she send proof of delivery some random guy holding a cover which was not mine on a road side , what nonsense … it was supposed to be delivered to my flat and i was alone at home to collect it , please refund as soon as possible. I kindly request people to opt for other stores like noon , dont fall for their trap ### 1/5 — Bad experience and getting worse *2023-03-27, version 6.6.3* Each time I use the app for groceries delivery many items are out of stock and the replacement items offered are irrelevant. For example; my last order today 3 items out of 8 are out of stock and they were most important. Delivery is late as usual; supposed to be between 5 to 6 and I received after 7pm. I received almost half of my order items and paid the full delivery fee 9 aed ! I have used a voucher to get 30% cashback as smiles and of course I got much less points because I received half of my order and the voucher is redeemed for less ! I mean this is outrageously pathetic customer service as per UAE standards not acceptable ! ### 1/5 — very bad customer service *2022-12-05, version 6.5.6* very worst experience with this application… i got wrong item… i informed them through customer service executive… and i wait for 1and half hour, there is no reply from their side after sometime chat automatically closed.. i used this application because of smiles application… i am using smiles for more-than one year.. they have efficient customer service , if we have any complaints.. but here worst experience with it better use noon’s grocery.. noon is better for purchasing of groceries… ### 1/5 — Baddest customer service ever *2022-11-29, version 6.5.6* It’s by Etisalat which is understandable…. ### 1/5 — Very bad experience. *2022-11-18, version 6.5.6* The most bad experience I tried ever, I ask to deliver my items between 7-10 they call me 11:30 pm to check the location , I ask to make it next day because it was sleeping time , next day they side you will receive your order between 3-4 and in the end they told me your order canceled and we can’t deliver it any more. ### 1/5 — Bad experience *2022-10-07, version 6.5.5* Many times - Items not available do you replace it with higher price items -Ordering and keep waiting for confirmation for ever or you have to contact support - placing order and waiting for confirmation then contacting support to confirm after that you get to replace items and wait again for delivery The app mentioned 60 min I waited for 3 hours and the order never showed up. This on the service side On App technical its another story and headache Will delete the app and never use it again ### 1/5 — Bad Experience. Better don’t fall into this trap *2022-09-23, version 6.5.5* I placed the order and made payment through mobile pay. After sometime I received another message saying they increased the value of the vegetables. And then they deducted amount from my credit card without my permission. ### 1/5 — Stay away….don’t make my mistake! *2022-07-25, version 6.5.4* This app and it’s partners are misusing and misleading the consumer rights of UAE, they advertise wrong prices and then ask you to replace items which you can pay over a 100 aed at least more than what you opted for!! The partners have put a wrong price for one item, instead of calling me they announced all items in the cart as out of stock!!! Even though same items are available in careem!!!!! This is fishy and clearly shows the lack of professionalism they have!!!! They give you discount coupons and uplift prices so go to carrefour it’s much cheaper!! ### 2/5 — Credits hold to a bank. *2022-07-25, version 6.5.4* App was good but i dont like the system of holding a balance to your atm/credit card... because holding a balnce means takes time to return to your card by 1 week to 3weeks sometimes either by elgrocer or thru your bank.. because im register in so many shopping app and so far this is the only app that i encounter a holding a balance to a card... so i will its up to you if you want to use this or not.. and for me this is definitely big NO.. ### 1/5 — 3 of 4 times, order items not available and require replacement *2022-07-08, version 6.5.4* 3 of 4 times, ordered items not available and require replacement or price increase! So what's the point of ordering in this platform? Consumers could order competitor online portals and apps directly and didn't find any advantage of using this platform. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Order never been delivered, but in the app status updated to delivered *2025-07-19, version 7.2.0* Unfortunately the online chat staff didn’t want to cancel the order and process a refund, I got scammed by the application. ### 1/5 — Total RIP OFF *2024-07-07, version 7.0.0* If any item is not available - DO NOT FALL IN TRAP - CANCEL WHOLE ORDER. They use a trick: offer discount on certain minimum amount and then “Ups! some item turns out unavailable”. Order amount drops below eligible for discount amount and they cancel discount for whole order, even for items that are available! So instead of compensation for listing unavailable items online, they cancel discount and you end up buying things at original price! And their prices are higher than Carrefour, Lulu etc. ### 1/5 — Poor Customer Service *2024-05-27, version 7.0.0* They take so long to respond ### 1/5 — Charged me full amount *2024-05-22, version 7.0.0* Please avoid using this app and instead use Talabat and Deliveroo. They might offer coupons with 50% discounts (capped at 20), but it's a scam. I ordered items from a store using the coupon, but on the day of delivery, I was charged the original amount. The customer service is terrible, with no option to talk to someone directly; you'll have to use a slow and unhelpful live chat. Don't get scammed by these small companies that offer fake discounts and then charge you the whole amount, they know you can’t do anything after you received the products and they charged you for it. ### 1/5 — Worst application and delivery *2024-04-09, version 7.0.0* Most of the time they won’t have the items as displayed! You cancel the non-available items, they debit twice, only to refund one after a long wait! The delivery is never on scheduled time! Compared to other apps this platform is zero!! ### 1/5 — Worst Service! *2024-04-06, version 7.0.0* An absolute failure!! Away from the delays in delivering, orders get canceled on their own “system errors!!” Without notifying the customer that’d be waiting for essential items. Another incident is NOT DELIVERING and or delivering to WRONG ADDRESS!! Then it takes two days looking into it “investigating” while customer is suffering because of their teams mistake!! On a fair note the customer service chat employees are professional and attendant to chats however they’re not empowered to take any corrective actions ### 1/5 — Bad Service *2024-03-10, version 6.8.5* The app is usually not updated properly with the items and their prices. The orders are almost always late and not delivered within the stated estimated delivery time. The service is very slow, the other grocery delivery apps are more efficient and faster. The customer service is also slow and most of the time cant help with the order because its with the store. The app also accepts orders regardless if the store can fulfill the order or not which is a bit deceiving. ### 1/5 — So happy eataly stopped using you *2023-08-02, version 6.7.3* Delivery is always late and you never know when you will receive the order. Delivery has NEVER been on time and always SEVERAL hours late. Now that Eataly is no longer on el Grocer I can finally delete the app!!! ### 1/5 — The worst app and customer service ever *2023-05-19, version 6.6.5* I used the app only one time, I got charged twice and it’s been over a month and I haven’t been refunded. Tried to contact customer service and they said that I have to call my bank and sort it out however it’s their fault, I requested to speak to a manager over a month no one called me yet. The money is not refunded, customer service is shocking and honestly will never ever use it again or even recommend it to anyone. ### 1/5 — Poor customer service *2023-04-12, version 6.6.4* I have refund complaints 2 months ago. Customer support keep on telling me they will contact me trough email, escalated, prioritize and you will receive refund 3-5 days. Until now didn’t receive any emails or refund.
