Well besides being glitchy and occasionally just not working at all, the app deleted my gate info and I was unable to access my own neighborhood on a Saturday morning. Tried to contact Elika for support to resolve this but guess what? No after hours or weekend tech support to be had. Tried deleting and re downloading the app to use my previous product registration info but the app was not even available in the App Store and completely missing from my ‘previous purchase history’!!! When I heard from Elika early the next week finally I learned their engineers were working on it and that the app should be back in the store ‘soon’ for download. Very displeased with both this company and my HOA for utilizing their product. If we were going to use something like this then it should have the capability to use the app to open my front gate from anywhere in the country, not just 2.5 feet from the physical kiosk. ### 1/5 — App Is Horrible *2022-01-08, version 1.2* I hate this app. It works, until it doesn't. Most of the time my gate doesn’t open automatically. I usually have to manually open the app, which is annoying. There are no settings other than changing name or gate and color of symbol. Frankly I dont know how this is a company or why my complex picked this sad excuse for company as a gate operator. It’s much faster to manually enter the gate code on the keypad then wait for the app to do the one job it’s given. There are occasions when my gate app deletes my registration code and I have to notify my complex to reissue me one. ### 1/5 — How should it work? *2019-01-04, version 1.2* I registered the app successfully, now what? Documentation doesn’t say. Do I unlock cause it doesn’t. Should it open when I’m at the gate cause it doesn’t. Should I change from auto to manual, and if I do, what steps to open manually since auto doesn’t? Documentation says to download and register but then what? And since it doesn’t work how do you address it? ### 1/5 — It works occasionally *2018-06-13, version 1.2* The app is very inconsistent in whether or not it will actually work. I would say 8 out of 10 times I have to call someone to open the gate for me. I have found myself avoiding leaving my house bc getting back into my neighborhood is such an ordeal. It NEVER works the first time, the swipe feature is so impractical. It feels like you’re playing a mobile game because you have to do it at the perfect speed or else it won’t open. I don’t understand why I can’t just push a button or why the app doesn’t have ANY other type of function to open the gate. Now, when I program it with my gate code and hit ‘enter’, the Ap just crashes and closes. Had to call maintenance and wait to get into my apartment. This is and issue especially when you have groceries that need to put away inside the refrigerator. I’ve yet to be able to let myself in (after verifying everything is correct) and constantly have to dial my own directory code to let myself in. I was initially concerned when my apartment said they use this… But, best entry method ever!! Gate opens automatically when I drive up. I don’t have to roll down a window or even press a button. That audio notification of an old busted slot machine stops my music from playing and I want to rip my steering wheel off!!!! Please give me an option to turn this off...I think it might be a cheaper fix than replacing my steering wheel. Probably not because WHY would you place the button slide to open the gate so far up on the phone screen that you have to use two hands!!!!??? Move the button down on the screen so you can hold the phone in one hand and slide the button! You have to open the app and swipe to open the gate. I’d rather punch in the code at this point. We switched from a traditional clicker that we could program into our cars. Now we can’t do that. Having to open our cell phone, open the app and then slide a finger in in the app in this day and age is crazy. This thing should sense when we’re near an open the gate automatically.
