### 1/5 — Not worth it!!!

*2021-09-22, version 5.2.6*

Tried it for a month. Way to expensive, not many matches, most of the people did NOT have photos. The once that that reached out, send a smile, no conversation what’s so over with anyone. The few matches that I was able to fine , I got a very short conversation and that’s it.

I tried deleting my profile the system ‘somehow’ seem to crash, it would not let me delete my profile. Now I cannot get back into my account, password reset does not work, talking to customers is really not an option. The website provides you with a Germany address to send a letter ?!?? What who does that? They keep mention that you can submit a form on line, can’t find it anywhere. Finally found it, now it wants to verify my email again, well somehow I am not getting any of their emails.

Horrible experience, I would never use or recommend this dating app service, and way too expensive. You should not aloe people to create profiles without photos, and you need to verify this accounts are legit !!!

### 1/5 — No way to contact customer service

*2021-05-05, version 5.2.1*

I am getting very angry because I am trying to delete my account and auto renewal and then am told that I must speak to a staff person to delete my premium account but there are no phone numbers or ways to contact customer service. They just send you in a circle!!!!

This is not mine but js whAt came up when I tried to send a review. I also do not want my site renewed but don’t
t know how to contact them. I agree they did not match me with anyone that I would go out with except one, and then I could not text him til he texted you back. All I have to say Is tell your bank
to stop payment. Even though the top is not my review I give them a 1 just because we ca ‘t get i. Touch with them. Do not sig. up for this site as you see what we are going through

### 1/5 — Forget about the scammers...

*2021-03-25, version 5.1.7*

Firstly. I don’t easily review anything. So that should tell you something right there. The fact that I’m spending my precious time to write this is an indicator of how “non-elite” this app is. I’ve had it for over six months now. Most of my info is still flashing as “In-review”. Terrible. Most profiles are bots or scammers. You can choose if you want to deal with that. It is a free world after all. I thought Tinder was a bad app...but this one takes the cake. Slow, inaccurate, did I mention scammers?, terrible user interface. No seriously guys. If you not gonna do a job excellently then please don’t bother. Surprised to s by ee that Spark networks are German. Guess German engineering is going down the sh****r as well. Stay away from this app. Oh by the way, there are scammers galore if you have picked up on that yet....what a joke this app is.

### 1/5 — Not worth it, they have a lot to fix

*2021-03-21, version 5.1.7*

As far as first impressions go, this dating app has found a way for me to completely lose trust in a very short amount of time. I signed up and became a premium member only to not have access to any of the features promised. That is false advertising. Before signing up I looked through the sites Q&A to educate myself on what to expect, and there is nothing in writing that prepared me for what I was about to experience. I have requested Apple the refund my money but this is ridiculous. Why is my profile in review but people are able to still view my profile, like it, and send me messages? That makes no sense, I can’t do anything or respond even after becoming a premium member. That is irritating and I am done. There is no way I will wait past my refund period hoping things are resolved.

### 1/5 — One of the worst dating apps

*2021-03-20, version 5.1.7*

I have tried most all of the dating apps - from free to paid memberships. I hadn’t tried Elite Singles yet. Reading over the website it sounded too good to be true. Why? Because it is! A 6 month membership with discount was roughly $90. Not a bad price, so I gave it a shot. I was so disappointed after just a couple of days I requested a refund and closed my account. Why ask me what my preferences are and how important they are to me if you’re not going to follow them? I set specific filters for age, location, etc. It kept matching me with people in other states, 20+ years older than me, etc. Everything I DIDN’T want. There were glitches with the mobile app too. I had to use the online version just to see my matches better. Also, so many profiles showed “in review” including mine. Which limits what you can see. I had such high hopes and was so disappointed. I believe they own Christian mingle, silver singles, and a couple of others which also have similar reviews and issues that I found with this app.

The one positive I can give is that customer service was prompt and polite. They issued my refund and stated it would take 3-5 days. I’m still in that period so haven’t received it yet, but believe I will.

### 1/5 — Don’t Download, Save Your Money

*2020-12-02, version 5.1.1*

I made the mistake of not reading the reviews and thought 3 stars was acceptable to try something out in hope another app would help with my dating pool. I was wrong! And reading the comments below, I’m not alone! This app should be getting zero stars.

First off, trying to find where to cancel/unsubscribe is very difficult. The FAQ mentions contact customer support but does not link customer support so you have to dig through their site.

My story is that one day I woke up to many notifications and found my account was hacked. Whoever hacked me started messaging and liking everyone through my profile (changed location and pictures too) - I don’t see how that’s possible since it took about a week for my own photos to get “approved”.

I was told it’s my fault because my password was compromised so I would not get a refund and EliteSingles is secure so go create another account. I don’t/didn’t want to create another account, I was already not happy with the service already and getting hacked was motivation. To top it off the next day I get a email about there’s a scammer on the app.

I’m going through other reviews right now and it seems I’m not alone in this happening either. Is this entire app just another scam?

So please save your money, don’t download this app.

### 1/5 — WARNING! DO NOT PAY FOR PREMIUM OR GET THIS APP

*2020-08-13, version 5.1.1*

This is a terribly designed app. Setting preferences and filters does nothing. It will still show you and match you with anyone and everyone and allow ANYONE and EVERYONE to contact you and nonstop too shall they chose. People would show up as my matches from different states or hours away. Meanwhile, preferences set to 50 miles. Every single extremely short person was my match, meanwhile I put height was important. It was all a complete joke and waste of money. Within immediately signing up I realized what a mistake I had made thinking there would actually be anything “elite” on there. I contacted support immediately and no response. The desktop version works better than the silly app. Hello it’s 2020. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FIND A REAL DATING APP THAT WILL AT LEAST HAVE FILTERS/PREFERENCES WORKING CORRECTLY. Too many glitches, don’t waste your time filling out anything you want because it’ll match you with the exact opposite. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!! This app is a SCAM!

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2020-08-05, version 5.1.1*

Where to start? Bottom line: app consistently ignores your preferences. For example, you try and set the parameters you prefer, and the app informs you that if you choose too narrowly, you won’t get enough matches. And then it won’t allow you to save your preferences. I have set age preferences, ethnicity preferences, location preferences, religion preferences, and I get one decent match in 30. The location preferences are particularly ridiculous. I live in a highly urban, populated area. However, I cannot narrow my radius to less than 50 miles away. Well, 50 miles away from where I live could put people about 2 to 3 hours away. I am getting men from neighboring states! That’s ridiculous! Other, more well-designed apps will show people that match my preferences within 5 to 10 miles away. So I know they are out there. But I guess I shouldn’t care, because the men I am being matched with don’t even remotely match my preferences. And the question of whether or not people are highly educated is also in doubt. I have a PhD, and I am being matched with men who have completed trade school. That match is highly unlikely to work, for either of us! Perhaps that sounds snobby, but come on, let’s be realistic! This app and its associated service is a waste of money.

**Developer response:** Hi Wolf,
By setting your preferences you will receive matches that fit those criteria, of course setting several to very Important does indeed limit the amount of matches we are able to offer.

### 1/5 — SCAMMERS!!! Save your sanity!! Don’t do it!!

*2020-07-11, version 5.1.1*

This app gets 0 stars!!

My account was compromised and some other persons pictures are on my account. My pictures are now gone, probably on someones else’s acct catfishing the world, I’ve emailed support so many times, and l kept getting generic responses. I found a customer support number online that doesn’t work. Two hours later I got notified that access attempts from an unknown device near the Philippians. I immediately freaked out and changed all my passwords. Omg people please don’t waste your time or money on this APP. It’s not user friendly at all, there’s a constant delay every time, my “matches” were definitely random selections, and recycled e.g., I would see the same person I swiped away from over and over again. The APP asks “how important this is to you?” I selected “very important” I honestly shouldn’t have bothered answering those questions. Because they throw any random person at you. I couldn’t tell where my “matches” were from. I had better luck with the free APPs like bumble or Tinder. Guys, I don’t usually comment on things. This is not a joke! Don’t use this APP it’s terrible. I can’t even I cancel my subscription it’s pure torture. I changed the password to something super hard and ridiculous logged out, and deleted the app hopefully I’m done with this app Omg it’s TERRIBLE!!!

**Developer response:** Hi Melanin,
We apologise that your lost access to your profile but happy to hear you changed all your passwords, I would suggest you also run a antivirus program to see if you have any active malware. We do not have our support number on any third party websites!

### 1/5 — Ripoff and potential scam. This app doesn’t work!

*2020-02-23, version 5.1.0*

I joined in January and have had nothing but problems since day one.

When I try to search it tells me I need to broaden my search parameters, but they are already at the max. Obviously this function does not work. Even if it did, there are almost no search parameters so I would be getting profiles that other dating apps would allow me to sort out. Talk about a complete waste of time.

When it provides me with it’s picks for me (again, based on no limits so what’s the point) should I actually find someone and like them or message them I get an error message every time telling me something went wrong.

I have emailed customer support and while they have been respectful and responsive, they have done nothing to help fix any of this. When I simply requested a partial refund because the app does not work they told me they cannot refund my money and then stopped responding all together. The app doesn't work and they cannot refund my money? They had no trouble taking my money.

This app is a scam and a ripoff. Don’t let them steal from you. There are many apps that are much better than this, even if it did work.

I reported them to the better business bureau. Stay away from this scam site!

### 1/5 — Don’t do it

*2020-02-16, version 5.0.9*

Had this app for approximately 4-6 hours. Paid too. First, it’s expensive but as I was going through the questions I thought it might be worth it. Second, the individuals suggested as your “wild card” picks of the day are not even close to the preferences I took the time to “explain in detail”. Third, and the most egregious part, there’s no direct access to customer support or “care”. You can find the answer of how to get a refund in several ways but there are NO links to said “customer care” via the “help” page and no way to search and locate the “contact form” that is mentioned. After 30 minutes of googling how to get a refund I found an email that I’ve tried but since “customer care” works M-F 9-5 (no time zone is offered of where they are located either so those times are skewed depending on where they are located in the world). It makes you question their support of their own product if they don’t have customer outreach readily. That’s part of what I expected to get since it is supposed to be an “elite” service. Happy to update on how, when or if I get my refund. Just don’t do it. They shouldn’t take money if they do t want to interact with customers.

### 1/5 — Not worth anything

*2020-01-04, version 5.0.9*

In 2 months I met 1 person and that person had a visa about to expire and had to leave the country. It takes a full day for any changes to your profile to go thru a review process. The review process entails either approving or rejecting your profile changes based on nebulous criteria. I’ve had pictures and writings rejected numerous times. Had to contact customer service to get pics posted. Nonetheless the pics were cropped and zoomed in randomly. The WRITING IS CENSORED so if the person behind the curtain doesn’t like what you have to say it gets rejected! Unbelievable!! Now Im trying to figure out how to delete my profile altogether which apparently isn’t possible thru the phone app. Profiles remain open indefinitely after membership is cancelled!!! Hopefully I can figure out how to delete mine so active users aren’t looking at a ghost.

### 1/5 — Do not sign. They want to cheat you into signing

*2020-01-03, version 5.0.9*

This app is garbage. I signed up for 6 moths and payed over $130 for their subscription. From the day one the app and the page in the web browser began to freeze. I exchanged messages with one person only. My pictures would not load and I would get the message a from potential matches that they wanted to see my pics when I already added about 7 of them. The further the worse, I was not able to open the app at all. I am a busy person and I left it in hopes that it will be fixed and was thinking that it was just a temporary issue. Almost a month past but it worked for few seconds and stopped. Finally, I found the time to call them during my lunch break. Their customer service it not open on Saturdays. The representative told me that he can charge me for 3 month and refund me the rest $17 out of $130. He also told “What is your age? 35 years old, you are old enough to know how to contact us in 3 days window for a refund.” He honestly sounded drunk or high, I could not understand what it was. Finally, he put me on hold, and come back offering about $70 in refund to what I agreed. I am waiting to get my money back. Not sure I will get it. Please, be smart, do not sign.

### 1/5 — This is a Scan for people seeking ♥️

*2019-11-30, version 5.0.8*

PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF HEARTACHE & DO NOT SIGN UP!!! I am a female in the age where I should “know better” but was scammed! I signed up & noticed that one could not see the faces of the men who were matched, and could not read messages- this app states one has to be a member. After 3 days I thought I would give it a try (least expensive option is over $77 for 1 month- ludicrous!). I received an error telling me it did not go thru and try again. I took it as a “sign” that I should not. So I didn’t. However, this morning see I was charged four (4) times!!! Yes, it says two charges are being reversed, but that is still being charged Double!!! Then I go online to see my matches and yet the faces are still blurred & messages inaccessible. I asume one needs the app. So I go to download & am told I will be charged to my ITunes account- OH HELL NO!!!! THIS APP IS A CYBER SCAM!!! Save yourself heartache & Just Don’t Do It!!! No customer service line and online support service says they take 48 hours to respond!!! Highway robbery if you ask me! 5 thumbs down!!!!! 👎🏻 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

### 1/5 — What a joke!

*2019-10-30, version 5.0.8*

I’m pretty new to online dating and of all the sites and apps I’ve tried recently- this is the worst dating app I’ve used. I cannot stress that enough. I’ve had it for less than a week and I barely bother checking it at this point and the only reason I haven’t deleted it is because of the amount I spent just to use it. Total waste of money.

It takes all of 2 minutes to sift through the amount of matches you get per day and you’ll be lucky to find even 1 you want to bother looking at. After that there’s no way to browse profiles. It’s a real process to figure out how to cancel your renewal and for the amount you pay to use it and you’d expect to at LEAST have a profile that’s up and running fairly quickly after creating it.

I’ve also been sent messages from men who could not be more be more obvious scammers. The “you are beautiful, I love you, please marry me” before saying “hello” types. After the amount of time it takes to set your profile up and get approved you’d think they’d be able to spot a fake.

### 1/5 — Awful app with buggy user interface and a slow random review process . Waste of money.

*2019-10-11, version 5.0.7*

I hated my experience with elite singles for the following reasons :

1. When you create your profile and every single time you edit your profile contents, even for a single word, they review it before publishing it. This process is annoyingly slow and is RANDOM. They reject contents that are completely proper. They rejected my profession (as an engineer. WHY???) and my passions (outdoors. music. why???) it is so frustrating. The slow review is also quite a burden as for a long time your profile is empty.

2. The app is very buggy. I cannot reply to messages!!!! I have to find workarounds to do that.

3. The customer service is not good. I asked them for a refund given all these problems and they are not cooperating with me or even being apologetic for why they would reject my profile contents for absolutely no reason.

4. Do not purchase this app. You will see the exact same quality of people that you see here on other free apps; in addition on free apps you don’t have to wait for a lengthy random review process of your profile contents (which may result in rejecting your profile contents for absolutely no reason). Also the free apps have a better user interface and are not buggy (you can reply to people messages!!!).

AVOID THIS APP. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON IT!!

### 1/5 — Just don’t do it

*2019-09-06, version 5.0.5*

I’m a lesbian woman and a young professional and thought I would have a different kind of luck with this app than with more popular apps like Bumble and Tinder. I downloaded it with the intention not to buy a membership, but curiosity got the better of me and I did. The cheapest membership presented in the app is $109 for 3 months, however apparently there are cheaper options they don’t present here. I paid the hefty price for the 3 month membership and have been beyond disappointed with the results. There are very few profiles with pictures. It takes DAYS for any pictures you upload to be posted because apparently they need to be reviewed. What they don’t mention about that is that their team also apparently does a crop job to then your picture into a square just large enough to capture your face. The interface of the app is terrible, the price is steep, and the app does not have nearly enough active users to make it close to worth it. Can’t recommend enough that you keep your money and stay away.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Single in the Springs

*2022-11-01, version 5.2.9*

So many gold digging scammers. Some days I had the same men’s picture with different profiles as matches. Other days there were separate profiles with identical write ups in the bios. Every day I was reporting fake profiles to customer service. While they were quick to remove the scammers, the majority of my matches were not real people. I was initially willing to spend more to discover if perhaps there was a group of men who wished to be more intentional with their dating lifestyles. Instead I spent a lot of money to act as a filtering service for this app for some thing they should be able to do themselves. I got approximately 5 matches a day. Perhaps every other day, one might be an actual human being with sincere intentions. I’m really disappointed and I wish that I could get a refund. As much for my time as my money.

### 1/5 — NOT “elite” Worst dating app- EASILY

*2022-09-21, version 5.2.9*

This is easily the worst dating app I have ever used. It’s very expensive and they don’t let you purchase a month by month subscription you have to pay for the full six months at the beginning before you know how bad it is. I’m not sure if it’s bots or just random people that “Match” with you and then you never hear from them. I don’t believe these are real people. The only people that do respond are scammers that have the exact same paragraph over and over again about “my cousin saw your picture and I’m deleting the app and here’s my email address” blah blah blah. there’s so much information about a person and it’s completely redundant by the time you’re done reading you really don’t know anything about the person. And finally the user interface is horrific. You match with someone and then someone might send you a smiley face or nothing and then there’s these matches that pop up and people are in a different state. It’s bad.

### 1/5 — Borderline scam

*2022-07-17, version 5.2.9*

Beware!!This app is a scam. You pay a ton of money and are given “matches” that aren’t anywhere near your location, and 95% of the people who contacted me where actually catfish accounts. You will also be charge again in six months with no warning and no recourse- but oh you could have canceled that charge within 3 days of the original purchase. The company is dishonest and predatory. That’s just the business side. The app is also unnecessarily complicated. You can’t find customer service. The matches just list a city - you are left guessing if it is a city even within 500 miles of you. There’s little to no information that’s actually helpful in knowing what the person is like. So basically you are choosing people solely on age and looks. How is that better that tinder. And not to mention the obvious fake accounts. But since there’s not much information on each march you are stuck googling photos to see if the person is really just stealing some instagram famous persons photos. Beware.

### 1/5 — Please, don’t use this app.

*2022-06-06, version 5.2.9*

Horrible app! 95% of the female profiles are blatantly fake. Pictures of celebrities and p*** stars with no other profile information. Even the accounts that aren’t obviously fake, end up being a scam. I’ve had the app for 4+ months (because I paid for the premium and can’t get out of it, I tried) and have talked with 3 real people! That’s out of hundreds of “matches” and “likes”. As other reviews have mentioned, the matches aren’t real matches, it’s based on the apps algorithm for what is a good match. Which is even more strange because the app will match you with an account that has absolutely zero information in the bio. Of the 3 real interactions, 1 lives in the same state (2+ hrs away) one was 8+ hrs away in a different state and the 3rd was literally more than half way across the country even though my settings are “within 50 miles”
The apps horrible, lags, shows the same accounts repeatedly, and there seems to be zero effort for screening fake accounts. I swear there’s less than 50 active users so they just let in hoards of scammers to get their numbers up.

### 1/5 — Useless!!! Don’t spend a dime!!!

*2022-05-28, version 5.2.9*

Nothing elite about this site, most profiles are fake or empty (inactive), they use the paid members to allure the non paid users to get them to subscribe. You get matched with free users who can only send useless smiles. Not a single real connection, even a conversation, within 6 months of paid membership. None of the “matches” EVER visited my profile, because they can’t since none of them are paid members. I contacted them thinking that my profile must have technical issues but they “verified” and said everything is ok, just be patient, ease your requirements. Still no matches, not a single contact. They told me to send messages to the matches, I did and none of them replied because they are either fake or free users who have no functionality and cannot reply. Most matches have no photo or one lousy photo and no profile info.
You have better chances of meeting someone on the street. Save your money!!!

### 1/5 — EliteSingles

*2022-03-22, version 5.2.9*

I’ve been here for a couple weeks, with no real success. Here’s what generally happens. You have a conversation with someone for quite a longtime and want to believe that they are real. But after they’ve sweet talked you for a week or so and maybe suggested that you are actually going to meet somewhere. Before that meeting takes place they think that you’ve been sucked in sufficiently they ask for you to send money before you have ever met them.

There is no matching involved. You might accidentally meet someone that wants to really get to know you. But the chances are slim at best. Most of these people are out to scam you and try to get you to send them money with a Google play card or with a visa prepaid debit card. So be aware of what you’re probably dealing with. My guess is that at least 8 out of 10 are con artists, probably 9 of 10.

### 1/5 — Bait and Switch

*2022-02-22, version 5.2.9*

Don’t bother. There’s nothing elite about this service or the users. After the 3 day cancellation window the “match” algorithm ignored my preference to date locals and gave me “matches” out of state. Also note, the word match is a misnomer - The folks in the match list are just potential matches but they haven’t selected your profile as one they’re interested in and they probably haven’t even looked at it. Judging by the few “views” of profile (14 in a month), they likely won’t anyway.

I voiced my disappointment and dissatisfaction to customer service and was brushed off saying I was past the 3 day cancellation window. They have no sympathy that their algorithm changed and that they have an inferior product that entices users with misleading promises . I’d hoped they would have refunded 5 months of 6 I paid for, but nope. If you want your earnest efforts to find quality people to be sabotaged then sign up. Otherwise stick to free apps like OKcupid.
There’s absolutely no value add with this app.

### 1/5 — Nothing Elite about it

*2022-01-16, version 5.2.9*

I rarely, if ever write reviews (maybe 1/year) but will if I find an egregious example of something wrong. The site isn’t for Elites singles since the majority of the respondents aren’t (by the site’s definition) in that category. The biggest issue I have is with online scammers. I have been warned by the site almost every week that someone I interacted with was found to be a scammer. Am I happy they warned me about that, yes, but they have to do a better screening process. I’m on another dating site and don’t get nearly as many scammers.

Many of the “matches” are so far away it’s not worth the effort. Also, I discovered that my profile was on another of their sister sites “silver singles”. I wouldn’t have approved a duplication of my profile for any other site let alone one that I have no interest in. It explains a lot why I was getting messages or smiles from octogenarians.

Lastly, there’s nothing elite when the majority of the likes received are from people who’s profile name is a fake text number (with and without pics). You guys should do better especially considering there are cheaper and more realistic alternatives.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2021-12-15, version 5.2.9*

Joined for the minimum 3 months as they do not have recurring monthly membership. Very disappointed with fake profiles and not enough matches in my city. Have encountered a few responses only to find out they request your email so that they get “better acquainted”. I didn’t fall for this and warn everyone using this site there are fake profiles where the person is either selling goods or promoting their private porn site. Also encountered profiles where the person tells their happily for ever after story and how they were going to delete their profile and either a coworker or relative read your profile and they would like to chat offline away from this site. Again another scam to get you to pay for their product. This site for the price you pay is definitely not worth it!!! Use Match instead.

### 1/5 — Definitely not “Elite”

*2021-09-28, version 5.2.6*

Signed up for the six month subscription for almost $200. It’s been a few weeks and so far very disappointed! I’ll go back to Match or Bumble which is free. The majority of the people that reach out to me are scammers wanting to take me off-line to correspond which is always a red flag. I reported FOUR in the last two weeks to security and get a basic response back thing saying “thanks for letting us know we want to keep you safe!”The site crashes a lot and logs me out. The “matches” are sometimes almost 5 hours away. Have not had one legitimate conversation in three weeks! I have emailed “customer care” to get a refund but when I reach out they say I need to go through Apple which means they don’t even stand behind their product! do not download this app!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Successful Results

*2019-07-12, version 5.0.4*

The app was user friendly. I had a 6 month subscription and was quickly matched to several potential singles. By week 2 of joining ES, I started communicating (via the app’s communication function)with one of my matches. Those communications then progressed to phone calls and texts until we eventually set up a date. It’s been 3 months since our initial contact and our relationship just keeps getting stronger. In truth, I didn’t hold to much weight on meeting someone through a dating site. I did a lot of research before joining Elite Singles. It is my only experience with a dating app and I’m pretty sure I will no longer have the need to venture into another one. I recommend Elite Singles to anyone looking for a long term relationship.

### 5/5 — Love the security people

*2018-04-20, version 4.5.2*

I like this site a lot, because they are very diligent in rapidly weeding out scammers and they actually let you know when they have excluded someone for that reason. It would be even better if they did not even post profiles until they confirmed identities as legitimate, but it’s usually only about three days after someone is first presented that they delete them. I’ve learned to wait several days before answering an initial contact , because the person may well disappear , especially if they are extremely good looking , have only one picture and write with an accent —ie, make grammatical errors . Often a person who immediately asks for contact info will be deleted quickly .... happy matching to everybody !

### 5/5 — Has some great things.

*2017-10-02, version 4.2.7*

I read some of the negative reviews and I tend to disagree. I have been on lots of other sites and the "matches" were mostly who paid for "prime position". Many had nothing in common with me. I actually like the profile questions and format because it focuses on likes/dislikes/interests instead of money, location, and body types.
I have only been on a short time and have found many that are very appealing. I think they are a lot closer to what I am looking for than any matches I received on other sites. It seems distance seems to be a "big deal". If I find someone I think I might want to be with, I'd travel almost anywhere to find out.

### 4/5 — Little Control Over Profile

*2018-08-12, version 4.8.5*

I am a slim and trim 59 year old woman whom many mistake for being 40. I’m at a huge enough disadvantage because of my age. I have tried to post a full length picture to show I’m in great shape, Elite Singles crops it to a headshot or bosom up shot every time. I have tried doing my own cropping to waist up, only to show I’m in shape to the men who are my age and looking at the 35 to 40 year olds. Elite Singles crops it down every single time. I don’t know who is in charge of this but it’s just wrong on so many levels. Since they do it to most of the men too, not all, I have to assume they want us to meet up and be surprised at who we have agreed to date. It’s just totally unfair. I will be looking for another dating app as my subscription ends soon.

### 3/5 — This app is…well…AWFUL!!

*2021-09-14, version 5.2.6*

The definition of Elite “the choice or best of anything considered collectively, as of a group or class of persons”. I’m sorry but I’m not experiencing what I was expecting at all and the only reason I’m not giving this app a 1-star review is because it was working a week ago when I signed up. Now it won’t launch at all!!!

I agree with the other reviewers who say the website is more user-friendly. I’d also like to know how they classify their “matches”! I specifically chose NO profiles without photos yet I still get them in my “matches”. I expected only proven professionals but I get some men with high school diplomas — how’s that elite? Being able to pay the membership fee does not equal elite.

### 3/5 — Warning

*2018-01-27, version 4.2.11*

I don’t know who to contact about this, but I met a man on EliteSingles, his name was Phillip Rodgers and he had one 4 year old daughter and he lived in downtown LA. I started communicating with him and we quickly moved to our personal phone numbers. He went out of the country supposedly and told me he was coming back soon. I downloaded the app Kik and we continued with our communication, then he finished his job and claims he is stuck in London trying to get money to fix the equipment he used on his job. It’s a scam and I just wanted to let someone know I met him on this website. Please contact me if you have any questions. It has not turned me off of the dating scene, one bad apple does not run the bunch!

### 3/5 — Not very impressed

*2017-09-08, version 4.2.7*

I discontinued my automatic renewal with Elite Singles...which wasn't an easy task. I couldn't find anywhere on the APP to call customer service or ask questions. I only found a place that had, FAQ (Frequently asked Questions) then I located one (a question) that most fit my needs.
On the APP, it sends you what it says are "matches" to you. However, I seemed to have very little in common with most of the people selected.
Unlike other APPs, simple information needed about other individuals is not talked about. Like: zodiac sign, have kids at home or not... and it never tells the State people are in; only the city. An example of how this can be misleading is, one female I recently talked to was from "Gainesville". Well, there is a Gainesville in FL, in GA, and in PA... you then have to determine which city she is from.
This APP is not user friendly and doesn't let you know the date when someone visits your profile. It tells you when it happens but, it may have been days ago.
I'm not a big fan of this APP and will not be renewing once my subscription ends.

**Developer response:** I am sorry for any trouble! Usually you can easily cancel your membership with a few simple clicks or via our contact form. For any issues, you are always welcome to write to us at: appsupport@spark.net We thank you very much for your detailed feedback!

### 2/5 — Save your money

*2021-11-03, version 5.2.6*

During my six months on EliteSingles, I observed some weird happenings. I would get similarly-worded messages from different members, all with some variation on how they were closing down their account but how their sister had looked over their shoulder and now wanted to get in touch with me (?!).
Similarly, a disproportionate number of messages consisted of awkwardly worded English-is-my-second-language type responses…..from people in the Midwest USA (nothing at all whatsoever against anyone who does not speak English fluently… Just a surprising number of unlikely people on EliteSingles who seem to struggle with the language).
I’ll give it two stars because of one decent conversation that embodied how I envisioned a dating app conversation to go. Otherwise, for the reasons listed above, I found the site to be a mess.

### 2/5 — Paid a lot, got very little.

*2019-03-21, version 5.0.1*

Firstly, I’m not sure why they call them “matches” ~ if the other person hasn’t shown a mutual interest...that’s not a match...that’s just digital window shopping.
Secondly, I had the app on my phone for a little over a month and the only two conversations that were longer than a single line reply, ended up being straight up scammers. They had one picture and one name on the app, then after we exchanged numbers they sent me different pics and called themselves different names. Only to come to a point where the conversation eventually turned into them asking for money. This happened twice in a week. Apparently, I look like a sucker on my profile.
Either way, I’m not sure how Elite verifies its members other than making them pay a lot for access to photos and messages and other features - which is an Ineffective validation method. Anyone can still claim to be anyone with a huge income or a CEO.
Third, the app itself is badly designed. The desktop version is what I try to stick to now seeing as how I’m already sunk into the 6 month prepaid membership.
Lastly, the only reason I didn’t give it a 1 was because I have had two decent conversations ~ albeit they are “matches” from towns over an hour’s drive from me and these ladies are 10-12 years older than me. Lol but still...nice to know there’s some humans on here and not just phishers.

### 2/5 — Not what it claims to be

*2018-09-29, version 4.8.6*

This site markets itself as ideal for professionals and claims to be different from other dating websites. Nothing could be further from the truth. I have been using this site for a couple of weeks now and my matches have been very incompatible. Many don’t fit my set preferences and several don’t even have photos. Some of my recommendations have profiles in French - a language which I do not speak. I did like that it required you to the set up a thorough profile, complete a personality questionnaire, and it does seem to screen your information more carefully than some other sites. But once you’re actually on the site it’s the same as others. I feel at the end of the day this is an overpriced scam to get professionals who don’t have time and/or are tired of the online dating scene to waste their money. Don’t buy into it.
