### 2/5 — Update — It’s back!!

*2021-12-17, version 1.0.6*

Apparently this is NOT the same app that was released a decade ago by different artists. Confusing. I was in love with this when it was originally released in 2011 (I believe under the name ‘Listen to the Light’). The music feels a bit different but it’s still the same park :) It was once again amazing to feel how music and landscape can interact to do magical things.

### 5/5 — Beautifully Immersive experience

*2021-09-03, version 1.0.6*

A very refreshing way for art to integrate with the a state part, being surrounded by equal parts of both. The map is not as exact with where the pathways are but if you follow the pointer on you locator you can’t go wrong.

### 5/5 — A new lens

*2021-08-28, version 1.0.6*

Incredible experience! It changes the lens through which you see and how you interact with the world. We will definitely do this again.

*2021-06-17, version 1.0.6*

This was extraordinary. It felt like a movie soundtrack as I focused in on different plants and people. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Seeing Through Your Ears

*2021-06-10, version 1.0.6*

Ellen Reid’s Sound Walk for Fairmount Park is a whole new way to experience this grand old space. Best done alone with no path or destination in mind. A perfect way to spend 2-3 hours exploring ideas large and small. Looking forward to doing it again in the fall and again in the winter.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2022-07-07, version 1.0.9*

The walk wouldn’t download both on wifi and regular data - what a waste of time and how disappointing

### 1/5 — Embarrassingly bad

*2022-06-24, version 1.0.8*

Downloading the app is just the beginning. You then have to download the audio for the walk you choose. This seems to take forever and, in my case, hung at around the 50% stage. I tried this 4 times on an 80 megabit connection. If it won’t work on Wi-Fi, good luck with getting it to work on 4G, or even 5G.
Another piece of cruddy app design, funded by the deep, deep pockets of The Wellcome Trust.
Whoever approved this for release should be ashamed of themselves

### 1/5 — Software crush

*2021-09-12, version 1.0.6*

This app crushes every single time when I try to download the music. After I re-open it, the downloading progress stuck at 0% and never change! I am pretty disappointed!

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2021-09-04, version 1.0.6*

Doesn’t work until by golf course.
Terrible sound

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2021-09-04, version 1.0.6*

I don’t know what it takes for this to work

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2021-06-25, version 1.0.6*

I may of misunderstood this, but I can’t go outside and wanted to enjoy this where I am sitting. Also to experience different areas of the world I can’t go to.

### 1/5 — Couldn’t download

*2021-06-13, version 1.0.6*

My husband was able to download on his 10 for GG Park, but I couldn’t on my 6.

### 1/5 — It doesn’t work

*2021-04-23, version 1.0.6*

It says it’s downloading but it just sits at 0%

Went to the park the other day to try to do a walk. Got there. It said it was downloading. It didn’t. Want to do a walk today. Am connected to WiFi. It says downloading 0%

### 1/5 — No north walks

*2021-03-13, version 1.0.5*

All the walks are on the dough side of Griffith Park. Very disappointing.

### 1/5 — Use...less

*2021-03-08, version 1.0.4*

Heads up to the Griffith Park users of this, you don’t just need to download the app, but also a MASSIVE file to make this experience work. The soundtrack to my walk was just me quietly cursing the app designers as my download froze at 75%. Thumbs down.

### 5/5 — What a beautiful experience :)

I lost myself wondering around Regent’s Park to this sound work. Beautifully-made and very enjoyable. Look forward to coming back and exploring this when the park transforms in autumn and winter.

### 5/5 — Regent Park: Ellen Reid Sound Walk is Revelatory!!

*2022-07-03, version 1.0.9*

I was on a quick visit to London and I needed sometime to clear my head so I went to Regent Park and decided to turn on this app Sound Walk. It was recommended by a friend and I am so glad I chose it. It was such an amazing experience to hear the sounds of this brilliant artist narrate my first major visit to the park in over ten years. It made the nature and beauty of the park come a live in a way that I had yet to experience (without hallucinogens). At some point, I felt like the tress and flowers were dancing in a rhythm synced with the conductors music. The music created this immersive artistic experience that I truly got lost in. I live in New York, so I definitely plan on using this through my jaunts in Central Park. What an ingenious idea - synching one form of art (music) with another (nature)? Thank you Ellen Reid’s Sound Walk!

### 5/5 — Mind blown in Regent’s Park

*2022-07-02, version 1.0.9*

Wow I just did a soundwalk in regents park and was totally blown away. This is an AMAZING project. The whole experience was so beautiful and seamless. I feel fully restored. I highly recommend!!!

### 5/5 — Pleasure House Park

*2021-11-18, version 1.0.6*

Pleasure House Park was amazing! So peaceful and the music was the perfect addition! I will be back soon

### 5/5 — Spa State Park, Saratoga Springs

*2021-09-16, version 1.0.6*

This experience took me around my park (that I know & love so well) in a new way, coaxing me in directions and paths I don’t typically gravitate to. It was a beautiful way to explore the park and see/learn something new about it. Thank you for inciting exploration!
