### 5/5 — LOVE LOVE LOVE!

*2024-08-05*

After searching for an task management app to integrate with my calendar, track projects, and just help plan my days better. Ellie does everything I need, and it’s super easy to use.

I have also recently started integrating other apps with Ellie to streamline task creation with Zapier. Super excited to keep expanding.

I can’t wait to see what other features are coming!! A general note taking area outside of the brain dump would be super cool 👀

### 5/5 — Great App at a Great Price!

*2024-07-08*

Absolutely love using Ellie to quickly plan out my week. It handles a full college load really well and can easily plan out my days. Only problem is I wish it had an easier way to add new time slots (Such as just holding on the day time box)

### 5/5 — Love this app!!

*2024-07-05*

I have so much faith in this app and the developer! Hes very transparent with the whole app making process and extremely understanding and kind. This app is extremely similar to Sunsama just cheaper and doesn’t connect with Notion, which is ok. Im excited for the future and when hes gets that figured out. This app is a work is progress but its great.

### 5/5 — Really good

*2024-05-29, version 3.31*

Good

### 5/5 — Life Changing

*2024-05-01*

I have tried a bunch of other productivity apps and analogue methods but this one is just perfect in every way!

I’ve gotten more done in the last day and have noticed my mood lift as I’m spending less time being stressed and anxious about my to dos. It’s the only productivity app that’s worked for me and has truly changed my life!

Functions perfectly. Looks aesthetically pleasing. Laid back. No frills or overwhelming UX - just everything you need to get the tasks done.

I will truly sign on to any app Chris Raroque makes. I love the humour and relaxed tone of voice, the design elements from the cute human inspirations of the designs (even the details down to the illustrated Japanese street on the start up screen and the emojis used on lists).

Thank you Chris 🙏☺️☁️

### 5/5 — Just like Sunsama, but WAY cheaper

*2024-03-25*

This is almost exactly like Sunsama and it is my perfected way to work. The fact that it is $50 per year as opposed to $20 per month has made my wallet much happier.

### 5/5 — I’m blown away.

*2024-03-17*

I’ve used Todoist for years and it’s felt stagnant in almost every way since that team started to focus on their “teams” functionality. So I began trying every. Other. PM/Task management app. Each one would leave me wanting enough to go back to Todoist. Nothing else has the functionality without being overly complicated.

Then I found Ellie. It’s an amazing app that just keeps getting better. Mobile is useful and simple. Gcal 2 way sync. Mac app is beautiful and stable. Great all around.

### 5/5 — Great productivity app!

*2024-02-28*

This app has been super helpful in allowing me to dump all my tasks from my mind into a list that I can then visually sort into my free time! It was one of the few planner apps that synced with both Apple Calendar and Google Calendar which was paramount for me since I get invites from both sources! The app developer, Chris, has also been super responsive and helpful for the troubleshooting I had! Best experience for this app is definitely on desktop, but iOS is great for jotting down the tasks you need to do while you’re out and about.

### 5/5 — Finally finally finally!

*2024-02-16*

I have tried every task/PM app and method I could find. Lots of them have worked well enough, but the thing I actually needed was a way to plan my day AND capture all tasks and organize with labels if needed. The closest things I found were MS ToDo (the my day feature is great, the rest is too clunky) and Amazing Marvin (mobile app was a dealbreaker). I was always adapting my latest app of choice to work better for my neuropicy AuDHD brain. Inevitably, I would find myself searching again for something that fit a little better. Then I stumbled on a Reddit thread where someone asked for recs for an app that does exactly what I was looking for. The developer commented and mentioned he had made an app for just that.

I was skeptical, but I checked it out and I was immediately hooked. Ellie is gorgeous (so I like using it), minimalist (no overstimulation or overwhelm), and easy to use (no learning curve). The braindump is a perfect capture tool, and the day planning tool is so intuitive. It has every single feature I need, and none that I don’t. I’ve been using it for a few weeks, and I couldn’t be happier.

Chris, if you’re reading this, for the love of god do NOT let this app die. I know you won’t, but if upkeep gets tough I will personally find someone to take over 😂. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2024-02-13*

I’ve tried lots of apps. Monday, motion, lots of list making apps, google docs etc, and I really love this one the most. It’s super simple, easy to pull up on the go on my mobile app, fun to sit on my laptop and plan at night, and helps my crazy creative brain get stuff done. And excellent customer service. 5 stars :)

### 5/5 — Fairly easy to use

*2024-02-12*

I just downloaded the app earlier today, and it’s fairly easy to use. It has a slight learning curve. But it doesn’t take long to figure out how to use it. Also, thank you for making it accessible to the Blind. It helps more than you know. Keep up the good work. ☺️

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for

*2024-02-09, version 3.23*

I've always been on the lookout for a way to see my schedule and tasks in a more visual way. Regular to do list didn’t help me visualize the difference between trying to fit a bunch of small tasks into a day versus a few big ones that take like 3 hours each. Ellie totally gets it. It's been awesome because I can jot down what I need to do and slap on how long I think it'll take. Then, when I drag it over to my calendar, I can actually see how much of my day these tasks are gonna eat up. I'm super happy with how it's working out. Oh, and shoutout to Chris! Ran into a little hiccup, and Chris was on it—helped me out super quick. 😊

### 5/5 — Great productivity app!

### 5/5 — This is the best task management app!!!

*2024-02-08*

I tried a bunch of task management apps but this one was my favorite in both features and price and the one I’ve been using for the last 3 months. I love the time boxing/blocking feature. I like that the app integrates with my Google calendar. I like the mobile app so I can time my tasks and I can make it full screen so it can remind me of what I’m supposed to be working on. And whatever task you start timing on your desktop shows up seamlessly onto your mobile app when you open it. Plus Chris, the developer is so nice and responsive to our feedback.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not working

*2024-03-11, version 3.26*

I downloaded the app, but the add task button is not working and I deleted it. One star.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t sync with Apple Calendar

*2023-11-13*

I enabled calendar syncing in the settings but the app did not request calendar access. I don’t know what to do now

### 2/5 — 3/10

*2024-06-17*

Major problems with app

### 3/5 — Works well with some bugs

*2025-11-20, version 3.65*

Does what I need which is timeboxing and having a braindump of all my tasks. There are some bugs that I have to work around, like editing and moving recurring tasks.

### 3/5 — Difficulty rearranging tasks

*2025-03-21*

This app is amazing - exactly what I’ve been looking for. I love the simple, minimalistic design and I love the ability to colour code. It’s so easy to use.

Unfortunately I’ve been having an issue with rearranging tasks - when I try and arrange them into chronological order for my days, they unfortunately just bounce back to where they were once I’ve closed the app. I have tried a few times to raise this with the app developer but I haven’t had a response.

### 3/5 — Not Quite There Yet

*2023-03-31, version 2.32*

I like this very much but it doesn’t appear to have any way of syncing with Reminders of which I have many.
Periods for repeats are too limited. Most other apps have a “Custom” option to make this function more versatile.
I would like to have the ability to increase the font point. Currently, it is very small for me on my iPad.
I like the Kanban function
I like that uncompleted tasks are automatically moved forward.
I will purchase this in future if the improvements I need are made.

### 4/5 — Love it! With some bugs

*2025-12-09*

It’s the ideal concept for a time boxing app. However, I lose some of my tasks when scheduling from Brain Dump to a date. They just disappear! ✨🫣I hope Chris sees to it that this gets looked at. This is a very special application.

### 4/5 — So close.

*2023-10-10*

Honestly a great app, but missing things like split screen on the iPad? As well as not having a portrait orientation or being able to resize the window what so ever. It’s just strange not to have this functionality.

### 4/5 — Excellent Planner App with One Bug

*2023-08-05*

This has easily replaced Sunsama for me and is so much cheaper. I do have one issue however. When I create a recurring task it shows many times on the same day on my Google Calendar.

Not sure if this has been reported on as an issue or not. It’s odd because some days it may show it 10 times and on others it may show it 3 times, but I have only added the recurring task once.

I tried deleting the task and creating it again but I still have the same issue

### 5/5 — Incredibly well designed and thought out app

*2026-07-15*

This is just a great app for planning. The time boxing is lovely (and really a rare feature, for some reason) and the interface is incredibly intuitive. The developer is clearly attentive to the community, and responded to a bug report I made incredibly quickly. Nothing but good reviews from me!

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — This app got me through grad school + working full time

*2026-01-05*

I used this app to keep me organized when I was doing grad school and working full time and it was hands down THE BEST tool for organization. The combination of lists, labels, and calendar/time blocking was so huge for me. It’s like having a really large white board organized by lists and weekly time blocking, colored by label. Tasks are super flexible to move around from a list to your calendar, from one day to the next. I love it. And the check done feature is gratifying for me.

### 5/5 — High quality

*2025-07-24, version 3.60*

Ellie is a very high quality app that pays great attention to detail.

### 5/5 — Best Daily Planner I’ve Found!

*2025-07-12*

After years of trying every new planning app and organizer I’ve finally found the perfect one for me! Super easy to use and the IOS app is perfect for jotting down quick reminders in the Braindump so I can act on them when back at my desk later. Tons of other powerful features and Chris is super responsive to questions. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — I never write reviews

*2025-06-26*

I’ve been searching for a todo app that would match my brain in my daily workflow. This app (and the web app) are exactly what I’ve been looking for.

### 5/5 — Does everything you need it to do

*2025-04-24*

You can tell this app was made by someone who uses it. Ellie does everything you need it to do and well. So happy to have it.

### 5/5 — Simple, Great, Effective!

*2025-03-12*

Doesn’t take long to get familiar with how to use this app! A great app if you’re looking to see how and where you spend your time so you can create the shifts and changes needed to have a smoother and easier days. Try it out!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2024-08-06*

Came across this app on a subreddit LOL and im so glad i did fr. Ive tried notion, gcal, xtiles, todoist, a physical planner and a bunch of other random apps — this has been the only thing that has actually stuck!! Currently in college and this app has been keeping me sane. Pretty sure this was some sort of alt to sunsama, which did catch my eye but i am too broke to afford that

Overall i absolutely love this app 🤞
