Now by bike is locked and will have to destroy the ellipse - so disappointing! ### 1/5 — I updated the new version of the app had problems *2019-03-25, version 2.1.1* The new Version of the app it’s much more impressive but I had problems connecting to my iPhone X I had to leave it in unlock position, it seems to be working now but it’s very unpredictable with the Bluetooth connection ### 1/5 — Ripped off *2019-03-22, version 2.1.1* The app might be helpful if I had actually received my lock. The problems with the app in particular (lock itself is garbage) - Takes a long time to connect with the lock - Crash feature goes if at slightest movement (regardless of fine tuning) - Theft alert also goes off at slightest movement (this is actually good, but they use the same sensor as the crash) - sometimes app simply cannot find lock to connect to, which means you can’t unlock your bike as either ride share or if the touch pad isn’t functioning (also a serious defect I’ve experienced). Tired of not being able to unlock my bike. ### 1/5 — Full of bugs *2017-09-20, version 1.0.9* App is very buggy; the theft detection feature activated even when it is disabled, proximity unlock does not work, and proximity lock causes it to lock up even when I am standing right next to it. ### 1/5 — My lock no longer works *2017-07-08, version 1.0.9* App randomly logged me out. I tried going back in and it said I didn't have an account or number set-up, but I thought I must have to even get it initially working since I've been using it all summer. Regardless, I had to create a new account since it didn't recognize either an email, or existing phone number to send reset info to, and now when I try to connect it says "server error". It did this when I got to work yesterday and I desperately needed to just lock up and clock on, but I ended up being late because I had to stash my bike in some bushes. The capacitive buttons also are having issues. Extreme frustrated right now. ### 2/5 — Not ready for prime time *2017-05-25, version 1.0.8* You can make the ellipse lock work well enough despite the frustrations with its app connection. Proximity detection does not work very well. If you open the app to unlock the bike it's going to search forever before it connects. You'll feel pretty stupid standing there long after your friends unlocked the old fashioned way. ### 2/5 — Finally! Oh wait... *2017-05-07, version 1.0.8* I finally received my ellipse after two years and it refuses to sync to my phone. I'm hoping this is a software issue with the app and not the device 🤞I have already used the suggestions on their website. No luck. I've also restarted the phone and reinstalled the device. I'm still looking forward to using this lock and I will update this review once my experience changes. **Update** After working with Tech Support we we were able to discern that the iPhone 5S is the only device that is currently being affected by this issue. I was told that the next update will fix this. It's been almost a month Lattis. What's the deal? Getting sick of having a solar powered paper weight. ### 4/5 — Great app but could use a few tweaks *2017-04-09, version 1.0.7* Adding force touch shortcuts for lock and unlock would be awesome. Also I keep my bike inside so if I want to use proximity settings it keeps locking unlocking as I move around my place. However, upon purchasing a new lock from a retailer, Incant get my lock to pair with the app. Just does not find it, even if I follow the app instructions. Tried to find it in my regular Bluetooth settings, and again…nothing. Only upside is that I didn’t purchase from the official company and therefore got mine super cheap…thank god! Waste of time unfortunately. ### 1/5 — App abandoned by developer *2022-07-16, version 2.1.2* In the last few years, the Facebook auth stopped working, causing accounts set up using Facebook auth to stop working and any locks linked to those accounts to be unusable through the app (disallow linking to new account). The dev team quickly fixed the account issue I reported and also updated the app. I am very impressed with their responsiveness. To recap, I have been using the lock since its release. Last week, I moved from iPhone 6 to iPhone 5SE and I wasn’t able to pair the new phone with my lock. Now it works like a charm with the app update! Lattis support helped me out. What ultimately did it was inviting a friend to share the lock. He was able to unlock it. Then I was able to do the hard reset and my phone connected to it again.
