Some bugs *2026-01-24, version 1.30.0* The games are great but they frequently push you to buy Elo+ with lots of “Which do you want to do to keep playing?” popups where you have to buy tokens and pay 40 for an hour of no ads, upgrade to their subscription, or watch yet another ad to continue your game. Once you pay the ads stop but there are simple but obvious programming bugs. Example- if you accidentally hit “report” you’re taken to a screen with no exit /cancel/return home other than shutting down the game and restarting. But lots of fun games. ### 5/5 — Surprisingly Fun!!! *2025-04-05* I was looking for a Game Pigeon equivalent for my android buddies, and stumbled upon this app. I was nervous at first but I fell in love! Lots of games and easy to use interface! I got my finace into it as well and its so fun! Once you start a game you are not locked in it, its turned based so you can step away of you are busy! I never write reviews but the devs deserve a good rating!!! Ads are also not super annoying and I believe there is an option to pay in game currency to play without them for an hour. In game currency does not seem like a rip off either. Tippt man auf einen Stein, wird auch angezeigt, wo er landen würde, wenn beide Würfelaugenzahlen mit diesem Stein gesetzt werden. Trifft man dabei eine gegnerischen Steinmit dem ersten Schritt und wird dies auch angezeigt, schmeißt man den Stein des Gegners trotzdem oft nicht, da die Ausführung des Wurfs in der anderen Reihenfolge der Würfelaugen durchgeführt wird. Bedeutet, dass man solche Doppelzüge nie mit Tipp auf die Endposition spielen sollte. 2. Ist die eine Augenzahl des gewürfelten Ergebnisses eine 1, ist des sehr gefährlich, zuerst die höhere Augenzahl zu setzen: denn wenn man nur leicht neben das gewünschte Feld tippt, springt der Stein unwiderruflich ein Feld zu weit. Oft ist es dann so, dass zwei eigene Steine plötzlich ungedeckt sind. Wenigstens ein „un-do“ für drei Sekunden sollte möglich sein. 3. Liegt man chanchenlos hinten und ist man aneinander vorbeigelaufen, sollte man mit zwei Klicks und einer Automatik alle eigenen Steine optimiert ins Homeboard setzen lassen können. Bei Bubble Factory wurde die Highscore-Tabelle zugunsten der Vielspieler und zu Lasten der Guten Spieler neu priorisiert. Wer also viel spielt, muss nicht der Beste sein, um die Rangliste anzuführen. Die vorderen Plätze sind unerreichbar weit weg, und anstatt wie in jeder ordentlichen Scoretabelle die höchste jemals erzielte Punktzahl zu Grunde zu legen, zählen nun kumuliert alle erspielten Punkte. Wie soll es ein neues Talent jemals aufs Treppchen schaffen?? Warum wurde das überhaupt umgestellt? **Developer response:** Hallo Nik-HH, da hast du Recht. Aktualisiere deine Bewertung gerne, wenn du wieder Spaß beim Spielen auf elo hast. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Privacy problems *2024-09-21* This game weirdly insists on setting me up with random strangers who I don't want to play with, when I select "Play alone." It's creepy. I'm trying to use what I'd thought was an awesome app to play fun games with my partner. Then sometimes I want to practice by myself with the training AI. I am NOT interested in playing with internet strangers. So I don't appreciate elo repeatedly starting a game between me and a random stranger when I elect to practice by myself! Especially when each time elo does this, they ***send my name and photograph without my consent*** to a person I do not wish to contact, then tells that person I refused and quit a match with them! In this game picture, I had selected to play alone with the training AI. Five creepy non-stars. ### 1/5 — Too many adds during games *2024-05-09, version 1.24.7* 500 Adds during the middle of the game I’m playing what a joke. Not going to waste my time With this app anymore. So frustrating ### 1/5 — Very vague in subscription description, not what it appeared to be *2024-01-14* I will explain the vagueness of the elo+ subscription after I explain what was worse. Basically after the 3 day trial, I was not impressed with what it offered, so I cancelled. But not soon enough I supposed, as apple still took the $50 out of my account…which left me $-49.71 in my bank. I don’t trust apple with subscriptions and other app purchases, so I always lock my card so they don’t take money without me approving it. Doing it all in the background “so I don’t have to be bothered by renewals and approvals” is not okay with me. But I only had $.30 in the bank so I didn’t lock my card because they wouldn’t be able to charge anything with only that amount anyways. But of course…my bank let it through for some reason(even though overdraft options are completely off and not allowed). So now, I can’t put the $20 I have on my card so I can get to work in the morning with an Uber or Lyft, nope…because they would just put it towards the negative balance. So instead, I get to walk 3 1/2 hours to work. I’m hoping a coworker can give me a ride home. So that in itself, totally not cool. That may be more of an apple issue rather than elo. But elo is bad too…here’s why: they were very vague on the information that was given about their subscription plans. There were only 3 bullet points, and one of them was that all matches would be free, even if you had none of their gold nuggets(or whatever their in game currency is called) you would still be able to start or accept new matches. And that so far is correct. I thought that extended to all matches. But I guess the weekly ones are not included. And without realizing it, I spent a whole years worth of nuggets on 3 different games, and only completing one games entire week(you can go back and do the previous days if you missed them and I started on Friday so I caught up on the weeks worth of missed days). I ran out of nuggets with at least 3 days left of the other two games. You don’t get rewards either if you don’t complete the week…so any chance of recouping my nuggets in totally impossible unless i pay more. And they aren’t cheap. This is not clear when signing up. It would be a little less of a blow to take if I actually got everything free. But to be charged a pretty large subscription fee (based on similar games and their yearly prices) and then have to buy more in game currency to play anything other than matches between you and the community, is absolutely absurd. I “reported a problem” with the purchase and I am hoping that apple refunds, because at this point…its not just unfair with the in game currency, but my actual life if affected by this too. Shame on them, shame on apple, shame on my bank for allowing an overdraft when every and any other time it would have declined the charge. Shame on me for not canceling soon enough. It feels a little uncomfortable. I do enjoy playing games here with my partner. Then sometimes I want to practice by myself with the training AI. I'm not interested in playing with internet strangers but the app really wants you to. Often when I select "Play Alone" the app instead starts a match with an internet player and sends my name and photograph to this person I don't wish to contact. Then, if I don't play, elo tells that person I refused and quit a match with them. Awkward. ### 3/5 — App crashes a lot *2026-05-11, version 1.33.0* The app is great but it crashes a lot and I log in regularly and can’t click into my games. I have no storage issue on my phone but still I have to keep exiting and re-entering. I also do not have a connection problem.
