### 3/5 — Unable to write with apple pen

*2026-08-20*

Unable to write with apple pen

### 4/5 — General feedback

*2026-05-24, version 11.3.1*

The navigation through topics is treamlined but sometimes with glitches ending up with jumping pages when in the scroll mode. I also wish if there was an underline and annotation function that I can visually see on the page without having to open a dialogue box

### 2/5 — Very buggy app

*2026-04-30*

This needs a complete overhaul.

### 3/5 — Confusion

*2026-02-19, version 11.2.1*

Sign in process and access cumbersome

### 4/5 — Need dictionaries for other languages

*2025-09-09, version 11.2*

Translator function needed

### 3/5 — Missing one IMPORTANT feature,

*2025-07-05, version 11.1.1*

which is the ability to underline text! This is available in most PDF platforms, and Elsevier eBooks+ should not be the exception

### 3/5 — Can’t add images to flashcards

*2025-06-22*

Whenever i try to add images on flash card, the app crashes. Every freaking time. Please fix it. I have an exam coming up.

### 4/5 — Glitchy

*2025-06-19, version 11.0*

Its glitchy sometimes and it does not allow to search for specific words.

### 4/5 — Better voice

*2025-05-27, version 11.0*

Excellent way to read. I wish the voice reading was more natural.

### 3/5 — Unable to view images/tables

*2025-01-27, version 10.5.2*

So while it is great to be able to read textbooks on phone, I am unable to enlarge tables. Often texts in tables are indiscernible and ultimately useless.

### 2/5 — Positioning still not fixed

*2024-10-23, version 10.5.2*

Margins are still very narrow despite changing settings, and titles are overlayed on text. There is no pinch to zoom, and page will reset to original position moments after moving it to read text or see figure in narrow view window.

Almost unusable. “Paginated view” is nothing of the sort. Wish they would bring back inkling, that platform was MUCH more user friendly!

### 3/5 — Bugs

*2024-10-11*

Please update app..so many bugs since last update

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Extremely slow and bugged

*2026-05-19, version 11.3.1*

I had to replace the great Inkling app with this clunky nonsense due to a phone change. What a shame! This takes 10x longer to load a chapter from a preloaded book, so not even a download or connection issue. To load a book takes absolute ages. I have one of the flagship phones so again - this IS an app issue. After forking out 100s for Elsevier books to have this level of app functionality in 2026 is ridiculous. Fix it or scrap it and go back to Inkling for the sake of your customers

### 1/5 — Netter’s digital Anatomy Flashcards

*2026-02-18, version 11.2.1*

Can’t use the digital Flashcards. The formatting doesn’t work on my iPad or cellphone. This completely defeats the purpose of having the digital item. The Flashcards are half hidden on the screen, the white words blend with the white background so you can’t see what you’ve clicked on. It doesn’t scroll and the only way around it is to go out of the app and back in between every card. Biggest pain in the behind I’ve ever had for an app. None of which can be fixed by adjusting the formatting in the app settings. Yikes.

### 1/5 — Rudimentary rubbish

*2025-12-22, version 11.2.1*

The search function is HORRIFIC. It’s only smart enough to search for ONE WORD. Do better Elsevier. Please test your product with someone who uses it.

### 1/5 — Tables

*2025-11-10*

It’s a worthless app as far as tables of the books are concerned.

### 1/5 — Opening book crashes on latest iOS

*2025-09-29, version 11.2*

Book won’t open seemingly since latest iOS update. App just crashes

### 1/5 — Histology and Cell Biology: An Introduction to Pathology 6/e

*2025-08-06, version 11.1.1*

Several chapters contain significant errors in the placement and sequence of figures compared to the printed book, which makes reading too difficult.

### 1/5 — Youmans and Winn Neurological Surgery 8th edition

*2025-03-18*

NO VIDEOS! Paid 700€ for the book, as it was advertised to contain many lectures from the chapter authors. Most videos are not available! Some load, others just aren’t available! Same thing if I open the book through the browser. People who pirated the book have a better user experience.

### 1/5 — Useless. Zero stars.

*2025-01-02, version 10.5.2*

I used the previous Inkling app to access my medical text books. This current format is useless for me.
As a physician, I need to be able to access sections quickly. Needing to scroll to find something I need is useless.
I am not able to view tables because the print is microscopic with now way to zoom in.
I could not even look at emergency medication dosing tables.
My online books are now useless to me.
I would use the Inkling app that I had on my phone, but it will no longer display the chapter content.
I continued to think that I had the wrong app.
My textbooks and reference materials are USELESS to me now.

### 1/5 — Better off buying the physical textbooks

*2024-11-07, version 10.5.2*

For some stupid reason the app likes to put figures at the end of the textbook chapters instead of mixed in. So if you want to see a figure when it’s mentioned, you have to scroll to the end of the chapter and then scroll back where you were to start reading again. It makes reading anything you need to understand pictures or figures for incredibly time consuming

### 1/5 — Netter’s Anatomy Flash Cards

*2024-09-22, version 10.5.2*

What a pile of garbage of an app.. impossible to scroll on iPhone. No zoom in or out .. seriously who made this utter garbage of an app

### 5/5 — Braunwald 13 th edition

*2025-12-20*

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-11-02*

The user interface is simple and easy to access, with colour and font size variations it’s soothing for the eyes!

### 5/5 — Doctor

*2025-05-30, version 11.0*

Software can be improved.

### 5/5 — Student / Study friendly

*2025-02-05, version 10.5.2*

My favorite part about this app feature is highlighting and note taking options. As I re-read it allows me to review my own personal notes.

### 5/5 — The app truly enhances content

*2024-12-23, version 10.5.2*

I rarely went to the Elsevier webpage for my netter’s digital content, with so many anatomy app options it wasn’t a user friendly resource of choice. This app changes the Netters Anatomy experience. The plates are easy to navigate, the test yourself function levels up the experience and I’m now turning to Netters more often and appreciating the level of detail.

### 5/5 — Ebooks

*2024-07-23, version 10.5.2*

ebooks from Elsevier rocks!
