### 5/5 — Excellent resource for navigating inner space

*2025-05-15, version 5.2.4*

This is the best resource I found for monitoring and helping me interpret my dreams.
I love that it offers opportunities for multiple interpretations, Including Jungian, Freudian and spiritual. if you’re into dreams and learning about yourself, I recommend that you upgrade to the modestly priced subscription

### 5/5 — Love it but…

*2025-05-01, version 5.1.2*

I love this and ended up getting the paid version for more flexibility - it is so well worth it. So far, after inputting many dreams my only complaint is that I wish the developer would include a Table of contents for my dream titles, which would help me go back to one I am searching for without having to scroll through all of them or remember the title.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-04-21, version 5.1.2*

I have started writing down and remembering my dreams more often since using the app.

### 5/5 — Elsewhere.to

*2025-04-20, version 5.1.2*

The design of the app makes it straight forward to navigate & I like how there are varying forms of interpretation to choose from!

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2025-02-16, version 4.14.5*

A couple of UI things but I love this app! So beautiful and thoughtful, love it

### 5/5 — Wonderful!

*2025-02-12, version 4.14.4*

What an amazing idea, it’s so nice to have a way to log my weird dreams, and find out what they might mean, I love the feel and layout of this app & it’s not buggy at all :)

### 5/5 — This is one of my favorite apps!

*2025-01-08, version 4.13.2*

I heard about this app from a book on Jungian dream analysis. I tried out the free version and almost immediately upgraded to the paid version. So worth it. I’m excited to record my dreams and explore the analyses. I’ve been focusing on the AI and Jungian analyses. They’ve been so rich and helpful. It truly is one of my favorite apps ever.

### 5/5 — Life Changing App

*2024-11-03*

Best money by far I’ve ever spent on any App I’ve ever spent! This wonderful dream journal is so insightful, incredibly helpful, and inspiring to go deep into your subconscious mind and discover some of the patterns, proclivities, and unconscious patterns brewing in your mind or sitting on the back burner nagging you waiting to be addressed. I find that if something is bothering me but I ignore it, I tend to have some atrocious bad dreams and low level anxiety during the day.(Especially if I don’t take care of myself like doing dream journalling, meditation, breath work, yoga etc) This dream journal has been amazingly healing for me as I view the wonderful imagery created by AI that seems to really bring my dreams to life. My favorite one is probably the collage because it shows lots of different small pictures of all the elements of the dream in one picture, but honestly all of them are amazing (the retro camera is so cool!) I would definitely check that out for yourself. The insights are just stunning! I enjoy reading them all, but the most life changing ones have been the spiritual interpretations. The Biblical ones are very comforting and I enjoy the Bible reading the accompanying Bible verses. All the interpretations have been so enlightening however! I’ve asked questions of my dreams and got a perfect idea for a new business idea. I’ve vastly improved my health through the help and insight of the journal by cutting way back on caffeine, improving my eating and exercise habits, improving my sleep hygiene, quitting cold turkey a crappy time wasting stupid video game lol, and started to explore creative pursuits I enjoy but neglected. I could go on and on, and I’m excited to see what else I will change for the positive! This App is literally life changing, and extremely enjoyable/fun too. I can’t recommend the supporter level enough! I highly recommend that you try it to improve your life!
Additionally, this process has helped me reduce significantly bad dreams and nightmares! I also have experienced less anxiety in general while awake-feel much more empowered in general!

### 5/5 — In my dream…

*2024-10-27*

I've used several different dream journal apps, and each has had its pros and cons. Elsewhere stood out to me because of its functionality and the use of research-backed techniques. The fact that the Elsewhere AI uses “If this were my dream...” (Taylor, 1983) and also seems to utilize the Hall/Van De Castle Content Analysis system is a big win! None of this is surprising, knowing that Bulkeley is involved in the endeavor, but it is reassuring that the app should stay grounded in Dream studies research and technique.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2024-09-13, version 4.9.0*

This app has been so useful, I always try and write down my dreams but that doesn’t always work for me. I am not the best at putting pen to paper and I usually misplace it the odd time I do write it down. The interpretation aspect has been so insightful, and has really helped me learn more about myself

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2024-04-01, version 4.0.2*

This app is by far the best way to keep track of dreams as well as interpret them! I use this to help with my spiritual dream work, as the interpretations help give me insights to what’s going on in my subconscious. I look forward to logging my dreams when I wake up in the morning & tell all of my friends about it! Highly recommend to anyone even remotely interested in dreams & dream work💯🙌💜

### 5/5 — Liked my dream interpretation a lot

*2024-03-18, version 4.0.1*

Seemed spot-on to me! I’d like a nicer way to share the results to socials using the graphics and interpretation you see in the app. I did manage to share the interpretation text only, using the app’s ticket creating mechanism, but it would be nicer to share its art imagery and typeface instead.

### 5/5 — Impressive App

*2024-03-08, version 3.10.3*

Incredible and eerily insightful! I’ve shared this with many friends and they love using it too.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — can’t sign up

*2026-01-19, version 5.9.5*

seems nice but magic code isn’t being sent, so I can’t even sign up. Tried with multiple different emails, and never received a code

### 1/5 — App crashes

*2024-08-14, version 4.7.10*

App would crash and get stuck on a white screen every time I’d type up a dream. If I needed to go back in and edit one it would just sit on the loading screen. Great concept but obviously needs work.

### 3/5 — can’t subscribe to supporter

*2026-02-24, version 5.10.3*

is anyone else having issues with the supporter option not working? just endlessly loading but never actually able to purchase supporter

### 3/5 — Please add feature to edit tags

*2025-04-29, version 5.1.2*

Hi! This app would be perfect if you could edit the tags yourself! Sometimes the app gets the tags wrong and it drives me crazy!! Please!!

### 3/5 — Like It But Not Love It So Deleting It

*2025-04-26, version 5.1.2*

Review as of 4/27/2025

This Dream App has a lot of potential.

Unfortunately, I just found it too clunky for me. As well, anytime I tried to Export my Data the App froze. When I tried closing it out and reopening the App, it would often crash. There is a section where you can submit a bug but I didn’t use that feature since I knew I was deleting the App. I will check it out in a few months or next year.

Initial Review 4/24/2025

First of all, I wish there was at least a 7-Day Trial Version of this App. The free Elsewhere AI Interpretation is not that great. I am slightly familiar with the late author’s work that seems to have influenced the Free AI interpretation but the App’s interpretations are not as in depth as others I have seen elsewhere. I would love to try out the other interpretations (Jungian, Freudian, etc.) in a trial version and am considering doing so via the monthly subscription. But, again, Developers, a short trial period would be great if you are able to do so. I also don’t like the font and the art never seems to capture the dream essence for me. I have yet to learn how to create my own art prompts though. What I really like about the App has more to do with the people behind it, especially Kelly Bulkeley, PhD. I think they are doing a great service in dream research.

### 4/5 — Based too much on age

*2025-02-05, version 4.14.1*

I’m a little disappointed with the interpretations by AI because it seems to be focused too much on my age.

### 4/5 — This features voice to text dictation

*2024-03-13, version 4.0.0*

This app has a voice to dictation feature. Because I am in Jungian analysis I understand that my voice messages are archaic and garbled when I am entering my dream into the app. This enhances my Freudian knowledge because I am aware that I am having a slip of the tongue.
So as the day progresses I read back and edit, It’s frustrating and time consuming but so worth it if you are in need of analysis because it enhances the experience.

### 5/5 — Totally amazing

*2026-05-17, version 5.12.0*

I saw this app recommended on a subreddit about dreaming. I have to say this is amazing ! Every morning I dictate my dream into the journal section. Then it analyses it for you and creates a picture of the dream. You can choose the style of picture and also the style of analysis (jung, Freud, lacan etc, even astrological)
As someone with bad writing who used to write it in hand in a book this is a game changer!
I love how you can have multiple interpretations. When you have done a few dreams it can start to pull out themes across multiple dreams.
If you are someone who dreams and wants to understand them, I 100% recommend you get this.
I take vitamin B6 every night before bed to help me remember(scientific studies have supported this) .I take 25mg, I think the recommended daily allowance is 100mg, but of course you would get B6 from other foods so don’t overdo it.

### 5/5 — Dream journal

*2026-04-18, version 5.11.0*

This is a really nice dream journal. I’ve been using this journal for about 2 years. It keeps my dreams, safe and accessible. I like that there is a free version with option to upgrade. The art that it makes to go with the Dream is really fun to use and see what art comes up out of the dream through AI. The dream interpretation is quite basic and simple, but that’s just with the free version. You get other options with the paid version such as a Freudian interpretation a Jungian interpretation, etc.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-12-06, version 5.8.7*

This app offers a lot more than thought it would. The interpretations are on point and dissect my dreams in ways I would never have considered on my own. I love to have interpretations of varying types to see which resonates more. I also love to go back and read about dreams I had completely forgotten I had. I strongly recommend this app.

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Space to Process

*2025-12-05, version 5.8.7*

I very much value having this space to reflect and process on my dreams, defined layers of meaning and themes, which provides comfort. Thank you for this thoughtful and creative space!

### 5/5 — Elsewhere

*2025-11-26, version 5.8.7*

The best dream app and journal

### 5/5 — Great for dreamers

*2025-09-09, version 5.8.0*

I’ve tried several journaling apps, but this one is my favorite. The AI-generated images are such a unique & creative idea—I’ve noticed I’m more motivated to write down my dreams bc the AI images make it kind of fun.

I’ve been journaling my dreams for a few years and I want to import them all to the app. A calendar view and an option for a more compact list would make going through so many dreams a lot easier. Overall, this app is well-designed, and I’m really happy with it!

### 5/5 — Excellent Journal and Interpretation

*2025-08-23, version 5.8.0*

I absolutely love this dream journal and I have tried and tested quite a few. “Elsewhere” is definitely something else 🤩
• Interface: neat, tidy, simple navigation, excellent filtering and searchability for dreams/tags, has an art nouveau feel, which I love
• Interpretations: several (8 currently!) sources that gives subscribers different lenses to view/understand their dreams through. Elsewhere AI interpretation is free for non-subscribers
• Dream Art: 9 different styles with customizable option, available for downloading, art gallery accessible with sidebar filter, they are gorgeous btw
• Dream entries are downloadable

Thank you so much Elsewhere devs for creating this amazing app. I’d give it 100 stars if I could! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰🥰

### 5/5 — The best dream journal app!

*2025-07-26, version 5.5.0*

I’m a frequent dream logger and quite picky when it comes to dream journaling. Elsewhere is the first app I actually continue to use and the team is very responsive to feedback and continually making improvements. The automatic symbol detection and insights are awesome!

### 5/5 — Great for the Overthinker

*2025-07-11, version 5.5.0*

I have weird dreams and I never had the capacity to think they meant anything more than face value. This app is insane. You type in your dream and it pretty much validates your entire being. I don’t know how it works so well but things you didn’t think were present in your life, it will make clear. You will be mind blown at how insane of a mind reader this app is. It’s honestly like a tiny therapist. So neat and mind blowing!!!

### 5/5 — Love this app please keep it up!

*2025-07-06, version 5.5.0*

Great
