Forty-three widgets for people who care what their Home Screen looks like. Elyr is a widget app built the way a widget should be: one number, one image, nothing competing for your attention. Every widget comes in three sizes, eleven styles and fourteen typefaces, drawn for light mode and for dark. One app for iPhone, iPad and Mac, bought once. WIDGETS THAT KNOW TWO THINGS AT ONCE Today — the clock, the temperature and your next event in one slot. Up Next · Weather — every event carries the forecast for the hour it starts. Body — steps, move, heart and sleep together, on one card. Morning — sunrise, the hours ahead, and what is on today. Duo — pick what goes in each half yourself, from twenty-seven options. ON THE LOCK SCREEN Most Elyr widgets also have a Lock Screen form — a gauge, a line beside the clock, or a full rectangle. A running Focus session counts down there and in the Dynamic Island. WHAT YOU CAN PUT ON YOUR HOME SCREEN Weather — the temperature and one condition glyph, with an hourly strip on the larger sizes. Celsius or Fahrenheit, set once for every widget. Set a city; Elyr never asks for your location. Feels Like, Rain, UV Index, Wind — the readings that change what you wear, from the forecast Elyr already has. Daylight and Golden Hour — how much light is left, and when it's worth going out. Up Next — the next thing in your calendar. Not a list. Just what's next. Reminders and Birthdays — what you told yourself to do, and whose birthday is next. Both read-only; names and dates only. Clock, Date, World Clock — the time, the day and its week, and three places worth knowing the hour in. Countdown, Since, Year, Season — days until, days since, and how far through. Focus, Tally, Streak, Mood, Quotes — focused time, anything you want to count, the days you kept it up, how today went, and 233 lines of Marcus Aurelius, Rumi and Dickinson. All answer a tap without opening the app. Moon and Name Day — tonight's phase and the Romanian Orthodox calendar, both offline. Activity, Move, Heart, Sleep, Bedtime — from Apple Health, with a countdown to the hour you want to be asleep by. Battery, Storage, Music — the level, the free space, and what's playing, with play, pause and skip. Hue — a different colour every day, from the date itself. FIVE FOR THE 8×4 CARD (iPad and Mac) Desk — the clock, the weather and the rest of your day on one card. Week — seven columns, four events deep, starting today, not on a Monday already gone. Agenda — today placed against the hours instead of listed. Meridian — six places, and how far into the day each one is. This Mac — disk, battery and uptime. This iPad, on an iPad. ELEVEN STYLES, FOURTEEN TYPEFACES Glass, Paper, Sand, Clay, Moss, Jade, Mist, Slate, Velvet, Line and Ink, set in SF Pro Rounded, Space Grotesk, Bebas Neue, JetBrains Mono, Anton, Orbitron or eight others. The gallery in the app shows every widget at full size in all of them, before you commit. PRIVACY, PLAINLY No account. No analytics. No advertising. No tracking of any kind. Your health data, calendar, reminders, contacts, music and mood never leave your device. The only things that ever go out are the coordinates of the city you chose, to fetch the weather from Apple Weather, and a purchase receipt. Elyr never asks for your location and cannot work out where you are. Tally counts, mood entries and preferences sync between your devices through iCloud, not any server of ours. ONE PAYMENT Clock, Year, Countdown and Quotes are free forever, in three styles, with no time limit. Elyr Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks the other thirty-nine widgets, every style and every typeface. Not a subscription, and it does not renew. Right when locked. A LIST, NOT A RIBBON Every widget used to live in one row that scrolled sideways —forty-three of them, in one long strip, above two more sideways rows. Finding Bedtime meant swiping through Weather and Time with no idea how much was left. Tap the bar at the top of the gallery now and the whole set opens as a grid, grouped by subject, around twenty on screen at once. STEPS ON THE LOCK SCREEN, LIVE Health is sealed while your phone is locked — which is the entire time a Lock Screen widget is on screen. Every reading the Activity widget took up there failed, so it fell back to the last cached figure and froze at your most recent unlock. It reads the step count your iPhone keeps outside that lock now. That needs one new permission. Open Permissions in Elyr and turn on Motion & Fitness. Steps and walking distance only — nothing is recorded and nothing leaves your device. Skip it and the widgets still work; they just go as stale as your last unlock, the way they did before. The day also resets at midnight now instead of carrying yesterday's total into the morning, and Heart and Sleep no longer show a reading old enough to be about a different day. THE DEGREE CHANGES WHEN YOU TAP IT Switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit moved the button but left every preview on the screen showing the old number, which caught up on whatever you touched next. One tap does it now. No widget was added or taken away, and nothing you had set has changed. THE BIG CARD, ON IPAD The 8×4 widgets were drawn against the Mac's card, which is up to a hundred points wider than an iPad's — so on an iPad the event list gave up the whole difference by itself and titles ran out of room after a word. Today, Morning, Up Next and Desk now divide the width by the card they are actually on. FAHRENHEIT Every widget that shows a temperature can read in °F. One switch, under the weather widgets in the gallery, and it sets all of them at once — so no card on your Home Screen disagrees with the one beside it. Celsius stays the default.
