Year — the year as a percentage and a field of dots. Countdown — days until the date that matters. Since — days since the one that already happened. Clock — the time, set large, with the date beneath it. Quotes — a hundred and twenty-three lines from Marcus Aurelius, Rumi, Dickinson and others. Tap for the next one. Mood — tap once a day. The month fills in behind you. Tally — count anything with a tap. It never opens the app. Hue — a different colour every day, derived from the date itself. Activity, Move, Heart, Sleep — steps, calories against a goal, heart rate and last night's sleep, read from Apple Health. Battery — level and charging state. Your health data, calendar, music and mood never leave your phone — they are read, drawn into a widget, and cached so the widget still works while your phone is locked.
