I wasn’t sure if the reception was bad for my cell phone or if the toilet was sounding like a urinal to the Emano Flow App. I saved a picture on my phone as it did not match most of the graphs that I was used to observing. ### 5/5 — Usage tip *2024-07-27* Competitive use of the smartphone microphone can affect recording. Examples for me were hearing aids and Apple Watch. The work around is to shut off Bluetooth devices each time Emano Flow is used. Other than that learning curve, it worked well. ### 5/5 — Quite impressive *2024-05-22* This is a pretty ingenius and user-friendly app. I got used to using it every time when going to the toilet. Only bug guy encountered was a persistent message that the app was having a hard time updating the results to the cloud. I couldn’t use the close button for this window. Suggest increasing the font size on the questions that get asked after you urinate, especially the survey that gets taken at the end. And don’t do the survey in the middle of the night when I’m bleary. ### 5/5 — This Emano Flow is an amazing app for understanding and diagnosing bladder and urinary issues. *2024-02-09* I am impressed with the ease of using this app, particularly with the accurate and thorough way it allows you to reveal what information your urologist needs to know in order to provide you with just the right treatment. ### 5/5 — The Elegant Option *2024-01-27* Asa man afflicted with BHP, my infrequent flow rate testing during visits to my urologist’s office always made me question the validity and value of those tests. At best, those tests provided snapshots of the state of my plumbing. From my out-of-office experience, I knew how variable that state could be from one urination event to the next. There was no way for any one test to detect that variation. It took the combination of modern cell phones and the imagination and ingenuity of two urologists to overcome the limitations of in-office urodynamics testing. Even as my urologist described Emanoflow, I was impressed by the elegance of the idea. The simplicity of installing and using the app only embellished my impression of a valuable new tool. And after collecting my I own urination data for two weeks, I am convinced that Emanoflow will become part of the standard of care for BHP patients worldwide. ### 5/5 — Does what it says. *2022-07-14* My urologist recommended we try it. I had no issues and the doctor was able to confirm my issues and confirm the prescribed Med was helping. The App require standing. However in our house hold we all urinate sitting down. They say that feature is coming, but that seems like a difficult feature to implement. I'm glad my doctor had me use the app to confirm the med was helping. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — POA test *2026-07-15* Light from app at night was bothersome and had the tendency to make it hard to get back to sleep. Tried recording several times from the same phone location and did not record but other times it did. Questions are pretty generic in nature for survey and after urinating in general. And adding a nickname has been infuriating as it says every name I submit has been taken. ### 2/5 — Needs some improvement *2026-07-13, version 2.4.0* The app is okay, but the measurements feels a bit inconsistent. it's hard to fully rely on the results right now. ### 2/5 — Insufficient data *2024-12-21* Urinary flow Data was Lost dueto system error. I was told I could delete the app and reloaded and it would keep all my data. I had data for 14 days, however, after deleting and reloading the app. The program only shows two days of data, hardly sufficient and three tests. I’m just appointed I lost most of the data. ### 2/5 — App lacks Programming 101 features *2024-03-01* Lack of a first question “Was there any flow?” Lack of timeout processing during endless looping which I stopped by using “force quit” of app The endless loop for a “no flow” recording stopped the processing of the next recording Single answer questions after recording ending that could have multiple answers during the flow Some are answers that the app is generating data to document “weak or strong flow” or “intermittent flow” Instead of just ”Yes” or “No” answers how about adding “Don’t know”. I don’t ever know if my bladder is empty. What are the above simple answers used for? At those times, I found I needed to shut down my iPhone before the next attempt.
