Shimano (via a local shop who contacted Shimano directly) refused to assist in the setup of the circumference of the motor in particular. I was sceptical at first as I thought that interfering with the firmware was “risky”. I read the very positive reviews and decided to go for it. So pleased I did. Via the emaxmobile app you can change settings so easily, the bonus being when you want to change back to factory settings for service, it’s just a quick reversal, dead easy to do, not at all detectable during service. This has transformed the bike into what it should be in the UK. I have only lifted the max speed to USA but this is enough. It can be increased much more but just over 20mph gives me what it need. I have to add that support from Markus really is as good as the reviews say.
