Die App ist selbsterklärend und funktioniert auch mit IOS einwandfrei. Die Entwickler sind selbst Biker und wissen was sie tun. Sie bieten einen hervorragenden Support und sind sehr verständnisvoll. Wenn man mit dem Windows Programm arbeiten möchte, sollte man sich allerdings auch mit den angebotenen. Anleitungen vertraut machen, da die Anwendung viele Einstellmöglichkeiten bietet. Allerdings schadet es auch nicht mal in die App-Anleitung reinzuschauen, denn man sollte sich bewusst sein, dass in die Steuerung der Shimano Motoren eingegriffen wird. Alles in allem eine sehr solide Arbeit die hier angeboten wird, macht weiter so und Dankeschön. ### 5/5 — Absoluter Hammer 🔨🤩 *2025-12-25, version 1.88* Habe die App bei der Suche nach Optimierungsmöglichkeiten meines Steps ep801 zufällig entdeckt und bin VÖLLIG BEGEISTERT über die klare Struktur, die Funktionen, die Anwenderfreundlichkeit und ganz besonders das Team, welches dahinter steht und einen unglaublichen und professionellen Support leistet. Wer ein „bisschen“ mehr aus seinem STEPS-System rausholen möchte, sollte sich definitiv die kostenlose Desktop-Version nebst kostenpflichtigem Lizenzschlüssel (eine Investition, die sich wirklich lohnt!!!) und das notwendige Shimano-Interface zulegen. Daher ist das gesamte eMax-Team wärmstens zu empfehlen! ### 5/5 — Einfach nur genial *2025-10-25, version 1.88* Ich habe lange nach einer verlässlichen Möglichkeit gesucht, um meinen STePS DU-EP801 einzustellen und bin dabei auf das eMax-Team und deren App (eMaxMobile) / Software (miniMax) gestoßen, was mich sehr wahrscheinlich vor Reinfällen (und Kosten…) mit anderen Anbietern bewahrt hat. Die App ist übersichtlich und sehr anwenderfreundlich. Natürlich sollte man sich ein klein wenig mit der Materie E-Bike-Motor / E-Schaltung befassen und auskennen. Der Support ist unglaublich gut. Alle Fragen werden sehr schnell und zuverlässig beantwortet!!! „Leider“ kann man nur 5 Sterne vergeben; ich würde gern mehr vergeben!!! It’s easy to use and you do not need to be afraid of any motor errors. Guys answearing in minutes. It was the best experience with software support ever in my life. For ep801, you need to have Windows app, PCE02 interface and a license key which can be used also in this mobile app to set up the bike on the go afterwards. Die Desktop-Version ist übersichtlich, leistungsstark und bietet genau die Funktionen, die man sich als Bastler oder Tuner wünscht. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den hervorragenden Kundenservice: Der Entwickler antwortet stets schnell, kompetent und freundlich. Seine Anleitungen sind klar verständlich, und das begleitende Forum ist randvoll mit nützlichen Tipps und Lösungen. Man merkt sofort, dass hier jemand mit echter Leidenschaft und Know-how am Werk ist. Für mich jeden Cent wert – absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die mehr aus ihrem E-Bike (insbesondere Orbea-Fahrer) herausholen wollen! Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis an meinem Fahrrad. Shimano (via a local shop who contacted Shimano directly) refused to assist in the setup of the circumference of the motor in particular. Markus trägt mit dieser Software in meinen Augen in nicht unerheblichem Maße dazu bei, dass wir als Endkunden wieder mehr Rechte an unserem Eigentum haben. Tuning ist halt nur ein Aspekt – und Markus bietet zusätzlich einen Grad an Support, den ich seit Jahren nicht mehr erfahren durfte. Ich kann mich nur immer wieder für seine Mühen bedanken und jedem Shimano-Steps-Besitzer empfehlen, sich diese Software zuzulegen, sodass das System auch im Nachgang per Bluetooth weiter gescheit konfiguriert werden kann. ### 5/5 — Best mod for EP801 *2026-03-26, version 1.88* I found this company when looking to lift the speed restriction on my bike. I was sceptical at first as I thought that interfering with the firmware was “risky”. I read the very positive reviews and decided to go for it. So pleased I did. Via the emaxmobile app you can change settings so easily, the bonus being when you want to change back to factory settings for service, it’s just a quick reversal, dead easy to do, not at all detectable during service. This has transformed the bike into what it should be in the UK. I have only lifted the max speed to USA but this is enough. It can be increased much more but just over 20mph gives me what it need. I have to add that support from Markus really is as good as the reviews say.
